Plea to the owners:

We desperately need players

Time to splash the cash and capitalise on the good start and the feelgood factor around the club

Make Brighton a very good offer for Van Hecke and get him signed up. And others too.

SvdB is on his way. Don't worry yourself about the finer contractual details. JDT has got it covered.

Need him in sharpish - he is also decent as a RB - would have been ideal for us today. Then another CB on top. Philippis didnt look out of place at all - so he could become a big part of the squad. Needs to sign the contract though. He wont get game time at Spurs thats for sure.

Personally i'd rather see Carter than VDB but looks like his injury might be a long problem.

Or they'll loan in this lad and flog Carter to Pompey i wouldn't be surprised if that happened.

Why?

Van Den Berg is a player who has been a stand out performer at Championship level for 18 months so surely that puts him ahead of Carter at the moment?

Those clauses are awful.

In the case of Poveda it could have resulted in coming on instead of the likes of Dolan purely to avoid triggering a ‘fine’ it’s a dangerous path to go down

The problem comes if the manager ever considers any fine when making changes. If he does, and it's a real grey area, then it is a problem.

Also, if he gets a bad injury, you are paying extra for the privilege of having a player unavailable, potentially.

Because i expect him to step up after his loan like Wharton did, obviously now he's injuer so that puts a different slant on it.

However why block his progress when fit ?

Van Dan Berg has been at Preston 2 seasons and is now looking at coming to us with guaranteed games.  So yes he has experience to slot straight in which is good but why is no one else snapping him up ?

Nothing to say Carter couldn't do the job we need and he's one of our own.

Van Hecke 1 season here now maybe around his parent clubs Prem squad.

Tosin 1 season here snapped up by money bags ambitious Fulham.

The key should be to put out the best team though, and get results. If that includes loan players, so be it. Maybe even we can loan out Carter once more if we end up signing 2.

Phillips was quality today - you don't want to play him too much, too young, but he can absolutely play at this level.

No concerns about him at all as one of the options at CB. Need one more though - two if Carter / Wharton are out for any length of time. Five is enough at CB with Pickering able to cover as the sixth choice.

Burnley are just one of several clubs reportedly after VDB. Plus, he was on pool's bench last game - they not too sure about letting him out as they have been hit with a few injuries.

We have changed tack now though somewhat and the key should be build with our own where possible.

Just grabbing players on loan and then fitting them in especially if they have caveats to that loan is the Mowbray way.  If we sign this lad with a view to buy fair enough but to grab him and he keeps Carter out whilst costing a load of money is a bit counter productive.

Obviously not if he helps promotion but that is still a pipe dream.

Those two won't come cheap and are a perfect fit for the way JDT wants to play. Bjørkan is s really good wing/back when in form and also have goals in him. Don't think the system in his current club suites him - hence he is not playing. Good enough to play for Norway with Haaland - probably good enough for us. Same goes for Lode. But probably out of our price range

JDT wouldn't even take that into any considering when picking the team. that is clear from his comments since he joined here

That why you put a clause in about that if injury or suspension happen we pay the same wages as if he was playing.

You cant possibly know if Tomasson would or wouldnt consider or be asked and pressured into considering financial consequences of his team selections. No one can ever dismiss that point out of hand.

And even if he did consider it, he wouldnt say as such publically.

JDT has always said the team is more important from day one including in his first meeting with the players, the media and he mention most interviews.

Trying to make an issue out about a small part of the detail which is probably that if he doesn't play we pay more of his wages and he does play we pay less. If JDT wants him and think he will be key player for us then lets get sign up ASAP

Den Berg and Styles would give us the defence needed for the way JDT wants to play. Styles could also play midfield if needed so gives us options.
