Still say judging and setting hopes based on videos is flawed and a recipe for disappointment with a side of animosity.

why would I have you on ignore?

That's why Rovers scout players live before moving to sign them. not just making signings based on video scouting.

Be a defender, Hirst and a wildcard (potentially Barkley) told its heavily bonus structured deal around appearances and goals.

fair enough

Does that fit in with the fluid front 4?

Yes it can cos he drops deep and go wide or not or move around.

If you couldn't see his deterioration then that's up to you mate, taking the piss etc...I saw him go from a good goalscorer to someone two yards off the pace and it was painful.    If it was your money you wouldn't offer him a contract.

You said he was a busted flush when he was here, thats absolute tripe, we'll probably never see another goal scorer like Rhodes here again, he was a goal machine that went to Boro for £10m.

I wouldn't want him back here, no ney never, but that doesn't take away from the fact he was a brilliant goal scorer for us.

Ok let's sign him🙄 he's great

The issue wasn’t with you saying we shouldn’t sign him; it’s saying he was a busted flush and miles off it. One of the worst opinions I’ve seen on any football forum.

Nothing board or agent level. Have a ‘source’ who works at the STC, says he’s heard a couple of Chinese whispers floating around from certain higher up colleagues

Fair enough RR.

I can't see it myself, I'd imagine he'll have some options at lower level Prem teams.

from JDT" "Gregg (Broughton) has already said we are ready to spend so hopefully we spend enough to get three new players in the coming days."

He always reads like he's setting Gregg up as the patsy!

Gregg's Patsy. 😉

Whatever happens and i do think it will be 4 more not 3, its actually good going into Thursday for a deadline day worth looking forwards to, because if im being completely honest the last few have been awful.

Transfer Deadline Day: Always hopeful, always disappointed 🙂

Good to see that myself and JDT have the same opinion that more than 3 are needed.

Some on here saying over 3 was unnecessary. Manager doesn't agree.

Good to see making 3 permanent signings for cash

Let's hope we get the signings we want

You would be amazed just how the big clubs use video scouting.  It enables them to watch hundreds of matches helping to sort the wheat from the chaffe and saving hugely on resource and travel expense.  However, 'live' scouting, as you would expect, is still a a big and vital part of it.  Arsenal are one of the clubs at the forefront of this approach and a friend's son is a key player in their recruitment team.

Do you have an idea of the names of those 4?

But in this set up Gregg should be his boss and he'll be Greggs patsy if he fails badly because he'll just say i got JDT the tools it's up to him to make them work.

You think it will be 4 more? From today, ie not including Hyam?
