Did anyone notice how Mowbray sloped off down the tunnel at the end, whilst the players went to mutually celebrate with the fans?

Not sure if it's Mowbray just being Mowbray or if he's thinking eff off I know you lot don't like me, I'm going for a brew and some lemon drizzle. That said, does he EVER look remotely happy?

If i was him i'd be embarrassed because of the stuff hes served up these last 3 months when that is what we are capable of.

We have to give him credit for setting them up and going for it but at the same time it reinforces what we've all been saying for ages.

Why, just why does he mess it around so much.

Yes, why wait until we’re 6 points off the Play Offs?

It’s beyond satire to be the worst team in the League over a fifteen game stretch, and then go and batter a decent, middling team on their own ground.

We can only hope QPR fancy it on Friday evening.

Look at our subs and reserves - Dack, Poveda, Dolan, Ayala, Edun, Zeefuik, Giles, Davenport - quite a few of those, I'd guess, would start for other clubs in the league. If there was a season, this was definitely it.

Though, I was thinking of the relegation threatened Everton squad and the strength of the Premier League and that's another universe.

But then we usually win games at the end of the season as they are dead rubbers, TM mind game masterclass!

Yes I have read the Kaminski's interview and I would fully expect him to back Mowbray like he did.

I have not been anything like animosity towards apart from saying his time at this club is done and he needs to go. I have never compare him to Kean or Coyle and I wouldn't cos he is not.

Well I have be more than clear that he needs to go and no discussions have happened so far over a new contract, which I am pleased to here. If he has told the players after the Coventry away game then he is going in 3 games time. Plus what Darrenrover said he said during the Stoke home game when Rovers fans got on his back and was right to get on his way since he is the main reason why we will miss out on Playoffs place and top 6 finish.

Some players have dropped out in recent weeks and games that is clear to see if you watch the games

I am sorry if you feel like that but people have enough of Mowbray and his stubborn tactics which have cost us a top 6 place and we should in fact be challenging Bournemouth for 2nd place cos after beating Boro at home where we were. I have been a fan of Mowbray and he should have gone last season IMO but he remained in charge. This season he seems to be less inclined to tinkering but in recent months and games he has started again. I have always backed my club and will do regardless who the manager is.

I am amazed that you continue to take every little rumour on here as the gospel truth.

Mowbray will be at West Brom next season and Venus is trying to persuade Rothwell, Lenihan and Nyambe to join him?!

Finally ditched the 3 at the back. Finally went back to three recognised 'forward' players.  Finally started pressing from the front again (like early season).

Finally played Buckley deeper.

Finally started scoring again.

Coincidence?

Which just goes to show what a costly and very silly decision it was to not sign a striker or two in January.

Silly decision by Mowbray being stubborn.

Silly decision by Waggot for allowing it to happen.

Silly decision by the owners for not getting on at Waggot asking why we aren't bolstering the forward line when we're in second place and Bournemouth are strengthening and everyone has games in hand on us - and Brereton is off to play with Chile/may get injured.

I am have heard this rumours from a couple of people who aren't on here. Seem to be more to it

I never once said that the WBA was correct but didn't distrust what people were saying and I would never complain about what people were saying and posting on here

Rumors, scuttlebutt, and made up stuff… entertaining to read about.

Speak for yourself Waco, it’s called attention seeking bullshit where I come from and should be stamped out in my opinion, especially when one or two have a 100% record of being wrong, which means they’ve made it up.

We did sign Markanday and Hedges who are forwards, if not proven scorers. I think a possible reason for not signing an out and out striker, say, Keinan Davis, who joined Nottingham Forest from Villa, on loan, is that Mowbray had no intention of playing strikers. He was all set for his Brereton and Gallagher wide forwards and Buckley through the middle tactics, until it went pear-shaped. That is, it seems like he's suspended those "tactics," but we'll have to wait and see for the next game.

Incidentally, here are some quotes from Oct 2021 from the LET on the Mowbray's tactical masterplan of using Gallagher as a right forward/winger, despite the player wanting to play centrally: “Gallagher’s game is based on hard work. He’s an amazing athlete Gally, for someone who is 6’4, he’s really powerful, has really good stamina levels, that’s why generally through my time here I’ve played him on the right,” the manager explained.

“I’ve had lots of chats in my office with Gallagher about the fact he would like to play down the middle. Yet towards the end of Danny Graham’s time here, Sam was playing out wide, Graham and Dack played up front, last year Armstrong played up front and we got the rewards as a football club, this year with the front three generally of Dolan, Gallagher and Brereton I assess the strengths and weaknesses of the opposition and I think they can all play off the left, off the right or down the middle."

There have been occasions when the tactic worked, as you would expect with any that is persisted for so long, but, overall and despite that, I'd suggest it's been a huge failure and a mark against Mowbray's record as a manager in recent times. Being powerful and having good stamina levels are not sufficient criteria to be effective from a wide position, needless to say.

After 10+ years of our crack pot owners we should all know better than to try and predict what they’re going to do. It is quite funny though seeing the same people post stuff and it turn out to be bollocks everytime, if I was them I really wouldn’t bother anymore 😂

All of them back each other at all times, probably part of their LMA membership, look at the conveyor belt of them that took turns in lauding Kean.

Means nowt, but if platitudes from second division managers is all it takes to sway Pune, then we’ve bigger issues…

I see Chris Wilder has joined the back slapping of TM. That's a shame as I really liked him, but that's turned me off him a bit. I dare say those comments will find there way to Pune though.

It's standard practice for managers to show support for each other.

A bit like when Kaminski was asked about Mowbray, Wilder would not say anything derogatory.

Wilder got huge praise for the inventive way he played at Sheffield United but ultimately left the job.

It's the nature of the business and anybody accepting a managers role knows this. And besides the are extremely well renumerated.

As my dad would say - “ They all piss in the same pot “.

Aye, but the don't all take the piss in the same way!

Despite Monday's pleasant surprise, I still want to see the gurning chump disappear into Rovers history, as soon as possible.
