David Lowe and Ben Benson are still under long term deals, and I presume will be staying on.

The worrying one is that Mark Venus isn't out of contract with Mowbray.

All points to Venus been given the job IMO.

This has been my main concern and that has now increased X10 with the news that coaching staff are all still under contract.

As always, a strange set up with Venkys.

Can you imagine if Farke actually comes for an interview and these fat pigs are sat across the table. There’d be a Farke shaped hole in the door.

Is this allowed?

There are clearly naked breasts on show in that photo.

Hasselbaink would be a cheap option, which wouldn't be surprising.

If there's anything in the Farke interest we've got to be all over that quickly, before somebody else nabs him.

It's just a hunch, but I think Nigel Adkins could be the man coming in.

I think that's a strong shout. Was linked last time around, available, cheap, fits the same mould as Lambert, Coyle and Mowbray in that he once got promoted to the PL a long time ago. Scouser who would work with those already here.

Nearly barfed my breakfast back up at the sight of so many arseholes in one post.

However, the next manager will only have to put up with the chancer in the tie, other than occasional all expenses paid trip via air-shitcan to be made to grovel in front of the hapless entitled ones.. Whoever comes in is going to need a strong stomach, a decent set of cojones and plenty of moral vaseline.

Its a sign of how messed up this club is that there is even any consideration of the contract status of backroom staff.

Normally they come and go with management teams and the club coughs up money if needed to get rid of them when a change needs to be made.

You certainly don't allow your options to be constrained by your GK coach having time left on his deal, which won't be substantial in any event.

The players need new ideas and voices. Persisting with Mowbray's team but without Mowbray would be a disaster.

And it's unbelievably obvious, surely?

Surely even the loons in Pune can see it, after owning a football club for 12 years! It also failed last time they tried it with Berg.

Looking at the sky odds around the 20/30 to 1 odds, lots of expected names and some unexpected like Nathan Rooney, 33/1 for the Barnsley and Lincoln jobs and 25/1 for the Rovers job.

Bit of an odd one considering he has only managed Colne and a team in Gibralter. Former U18's Assistant manager at Rovers* , Fleetwood U 21's. Assistant manager at Crawley, Carlise and Port Vale (1 game as caretaker )

* according to transfermarkt

""Even at the age of 17-18 I was coaching the under-13s/under-14s at Blackburn’s academy. I did college courses away from the academy and at Myerscough College I was put through my [Level] One, Two and Three, and at 18 I had my UEFA A Licence – I was the youngest in the country."

It's strange because I was always under the impression that the coaching staffs contracts were aligned with the managers in terms of the length.

Another anomaly from a dysfunctional place?

It took Mowbray a few months to get his pal in the door after he first came so it's probably just down to that.

The other two have been around a while longer so were already under contracts i presume, plus i'd wager they have some agency connections.

FFS Lowe, Benson, Venus all need bombing out of the club ASAP. We don't want Venus "running the club" or anything of the sort.

Yes I would want rid of them and I think Most managers would want their own number 2 at least. I want a new goalkeeper coach bring in but We need to recruit new people in the medical and physio department with our head of medical services Andy Mitchell gone to Red Bull Leipzig and another staff gone aswell

Anybody else underwhelmed that Park is leaving. He hasn’t exactly been a success story in my book.

What are you basing that on?

I think the recruitment department did well last season. Khadra and Van Hecke were successes here, Markanday could be and I look forward to seeing him next season,

I wouldn’t say Khadra has been a success. He’s been ok, no more than that. The only real success has been Van Hecke. Hedges I don’t rate, time will tell if I‘m right. On a 4 year contract apparently ! I’ll have a bet that he doesn’t see his contract out at Rovers. Giles ? Vanished off the face of the earth. Zefuik - done nothing apart from limp out of two games. Markanday, played the last ten minutes of a game out and then never kicked another ball for the season. Time will tell again. From what I saw he looked to be in the Dolan, Khadra, Poveda mould. Obviously that was when we were collecting wingers. Brown - hasn’t played at first team level.

What we needed was players or just one player,  that would go straight into the team and visibly raise the level of performance of the side. Berkovic being the obvious example. He came into a very good team but he still looked a better player than most of what we already had.

If I was doing Park’s job I’d consider in the short term I’d have not achieved my targets.
