So what is the latest from what you know from sources/people?

Nothing much from me at all. Shortlist being drawn up as reported. Wouldn't expect any interviews for at least another week. And they certsinsl wont be held at the Academy driven in Blacked out cars 😂.

Ah good. No rush.

Plenty of time to drift listlessly through the off-season.

It’s funny how managers are…

Ted Williams was arguably the greatest hitter the game of baseball produced, in the modern era. But even with all his skills, in four years of managing the Washington Senators/Texas Rangers, he won only .429% of his games.

Leading one manager to opine, “it’s not always about the X’s and O’s, but about the Jimmy’s and Joe’s.”

Our new manager can only do so much with his skills; here’s hoping he will be given a budget to buy a couple decent players! 🍻

Rays Up!

It wouldn’t surprise me one bit that several of the “ITK”s are correct but telling different stories. We are rovers run by those idiots. Forget about the right hand not knowing what the left is doing. The right hand doesn’t know what it’s own fingers are doing. Some could be putting together a short list and others already doing interviews. Basket case of a club at the upper levels remember.

Initial talks for a manager or interviews don't usually take place at a training center or even the ground.

So anyone who has eyes down there passing on 'nothing happening today' isn't exactly in the loop so to speak.

"interviews" will be held at Whitebirk EG in the sbarro seating section.

FACT.

Lee Johnson taking the Hibs job so we can breath easy it won't be him who replaces Mowbray

I shall follow Hibs with interest. I like Lee Johnson. I don't know why Bristol City sacked him.

Agree.

I find some of the responses to speculation on this MB incredulous.

IMO, history under current ownership and their various senior managers tells us that all is far from joined up at Rovers where planning, execution and decision making are concerned - if Carlsberg did indecision and flip-flopping!

Take Coyle's appointment - did Chesterton not go away on holiday thinking Warnock's appointment was in the bag only for all to change whilst he was away???

Take April 2021 when there was speculation Mowbray was about to head for the exit door.  I think his body language at the time suggested he thought he was going and according to at least one poster on here, his staff also thought the same.  Again, it was speculated (including some well known / respected posters on this MB) alternative managers were sounded out .  Who was pulling the Ewood strings then and why an apparent change of mind?

I think you could ask Rovers Senior Executive Management the same question and I think there's a high probability you would get several different answers!

As for Sharpe, I have little confidence in his understanding of what's going on - I take his scribblings with a pinch of salt.

As for prospective managers not visiting Brockhall - any prospective manager who hadn't seen the facilities down there would, IMO, most certainly want to see what set-up he had to work with.

My personal view is Rovers are further down the line in their search for a new manager than Sharpe and some others on here think.

Agree with 100% of this

You would expect interviews to start of next week for both positions.

I think we will interview at least 3 foreign head coaches at least.
