Not really a fair post because that's the first time I've seen him smugly dismiss any promotion chances with a big smile as if it doesn't matter.

He’s mentioned on many of occasions that  things will take time?? You’re taking it way out of content….

Also JDT knows the quality infront of him and knows it’s nowhere near good enough for promotion….he knows we’re punching above our weight…We are where we are IMO because we have a clinical goal scorer and a quality goal keeper…its not sustainable as many have said and we will defiantly start falling down the league. Alot Of that does falL on tactics…however a lot of it  falls on the quality of our squad.

We need a whole new midfield with proper wingers along with new strikers to get anywhere near top 6.

Imagine a Rothwell in this team! God we miss him and his style so much!

we are 3rd in the league. Is that being out of his depth?

I don't understand why fans aren't very happy with our league position when you consider the amount of playing staff changes and backroom staff changes that have happened in the last 6 months. Being 3rd now is well ahead where I thought we would be

Look at last week game at Norwich compare to PNE game. Today we should have got a draw hadn't Travis done what he done

The standard of football is shocking. I find it like watching paint dry. Being third means nothing if I find it so boring...

JDT needs to stop banging on about these young players, it’s an excuse! Sign a couple of experienced players to improve the starting lineup and have a push at the playoffs, we are sat in 3rd place and have a great opportunity this season given the standard of this league. His interview is not inspiring for the players or fans

I stopped watching his interviews weeks ago...

He's said we will be inconsistent because it's a young team.

Now write down the ages of the 11 players who started today.

Then we'll talk about context.

How many players are players he’s signed? Don’t get me wrong I share your fustration…however it’s not fair to judge with the players in front of him….IF we are where we are next October then we should question him.

Are we in a ‘false position’? No, because the position is the position at the halfway point of the season and we’ve won at least three more games than any club below us. Though I do agree we will probably fall away.

However, 3rd ‘means nothing’ because it’s ‘boring’? No 3rd means a great deal for any club in a league that has a promotion slot via a playoff system.

What's that got to do with his excuse that it's a young team when it's clearly not?

How are people watching these. When I click on them it sends me to a written article and nothing to watch

Press the Twitter icon and it should take you to Twitter, anywhere else goes to the BBC match report

Good questions asked for a change and JDT used the "young team" excuse at least half a dozen times, which @arbitro has now exposed as nonsense.

An average age of over 25 for today's starting eleven which blows Tomasson's excuse out of the water. He trots that line out like we are a team of 20 year olds.

Exactly my point. But it's worse than that, he's effectively gaslighting the fanbase by saying the supporters 'know' it's a young team and that we aren't 'stupid'. When you watch that interview in that context it makes it a bit stomach-churning.

Sunderland's team will also have had a younger average age than ours today.

Honestly it’s probably an excuse for him which leads to my earlier posts of the squad a quality.
What do you want him to say? The players arnt good enough?

JDTs response to the subs at a time when we were looking more creative, Dack, and Morton's big chance was staggering "we and Sunderland made no chances afterwards" ... Interviewer "Sunderland did" .......

He completely blanked the actual question.

TBH on second watch it was nauseating.
