Wasted his talent?

Man Utd's record goal scorer

England Captain

England's 2nd highest ever scorer (highest when he retired)

5 Premier League titles

A Champions League Winner

Scorer in a Champions League Final

3rd all time Highest Premier League scorer

3rd most assist's in Premier League history

An FWA & PFA player of the year winner

Multiple appearances in PFA team of the year

Great player - remarkably he could have been better. Shame he was played so much, so young as it really shortened his career.

That said he seems to be a poor - middling manager and his wife has come out and said he needs a minder, so I'll give him a miss, thanks.

Very left field. Rumoured to be about to join Brighton.

I doubt he has all of his coaching badges either. Reims are paying a massive fine every game that Will Still manages because he doesn't have the required qualifications.

His wife has come out and said what?! What do you mean he needs a minder?

Rovers, like any other club, should always have some idea on who the next manager will be. Managers come and go all the time and are only a bad run of results away from the sack - the Ewood hierarchy should be discussing now who comes next, even in the unlikely event that Tomasson decides to stay

They knew Mowbray was leaving in April , JDT  arrived July .It won't have entered their heads ...

He was a great player with a great career but if he’d have looked after himself like Ronaldo has done he could have achieved more. A 17 he was fully formed and had it all.. One of the best teenage players I’ve ever seen.

From De Telegraaf…

’Arne Slot does not leave for Tottenham Hotspur. Feyenoord managed to keep him out of the clutches of the English top club after tough discussions in Rotterdam with the coach and his agent Rafaela Pimenta. Slot will receive an upgraded contract, will stay on for at least another year and will enter the Champions League with Feyenoord. His assistants also stay on.’

Slot staying so that leaves the PSV job. Eindhoven won’t have the same emotional pull for Tomasson as Feyenoord but the risk is still there.

Poor old Spuds. No one wants to manage them.

Would taking the PSV job have any ‘impact’ (positive or negative) on JDT’s chances of getting the Feyenoord job later on?

Doubt it, there's a few who have managed both including Koeman and Advocaat although it would almost certainly rule out a direct move from one to the other.

Slot: "There have been no negotiations with other clubs."

He is either lying or, more likely, one or two parts of social media are, after which it snowballs. Just a reminder that we're firmly in Silly Season!

Hopefully this latest Spurs failure means they turn to Kompany as their next option

For some reason these sort of Clubs never go after the dingle manager.

After earlier speculation, Kompany has just signed a new 5 year contract with B***ley - he seems to have really bought into being a dingle.

It'd probably take a City or Belgium to prise him away at this point.

Kompany has already turned it down. Still think they appoint Brendan Rodgers.

Don't see PSV being any pull for jdt. I know they are a biggish club but he has zero links there

Not as big a pull, but Eindhoven is an hour away from Rotterdam, so depends if a combination of how far he thinks he can take us/budget for next season/family life weighs on him.

But in reality will he be a favourite for PSV anyway considering he has no history with them?
