One of the things that Wharton does so well is intelligent and positive use of the ball.

He's not looking to go safe unless there's no other option.

Gets it, already knows where he wants to play it - and off it pops.

One negative I wish would we stop is taking the ball from the final third all the way back to the keeper who then punts it out of play

Buckley has been pretty poor this season but people are forgetting how good he was some games when he first broke into the team. 

End of the day we have 2 excellent academy graduates vying for the same spot which is a great position to be in.

Wharton should definitely keep his spot though, as there’s no reason Buckley should demand an automatic starting place.

Hopefully having Wharton and Morton as competition might give Buckley a kick up the backside.
