I'm delighted going into the World Cup break. The only thing I'm concerned about is whether Broughton sticks to his word about not strengthening in January - I hope the plan has been adjusted after this tremendous start.

People built this game up into something it wasn't - it was never going to define our season. They have better players than us, but we nullified them for 55 minutes. I'm bitterly disappointed we conceded a headed goal when playing 3 CBs and then we struggled to get a foot in the game once Gallagher was replaced by Vale. It is what it is.

Did the manner of our defeat really mean that little to you Exiled?

Plan B didn't have to be a switch in formation but a simple single for Gally and Diaz to start playing on the shoulder of the last defender and going long. That should have happened halfway through the first half. 

All we did was switch formation and have one less player to tap it around at the back making us more likely to lose it. 

Change the pattern of play, not just where players are standing on the pitch!

Annoying though Barnes was, he just highlighted for me what a soft get Gallagher is. When was the last time he imposed himself on a defence?

Soon as I saw the team sheet I knew we’d lose. Garrett is a poor man’s Travis. And that’s saying summat. Travis is pony. Should all be embarrassed today JDT the most. Mola played well at West Ham but came off after 75’ knackered. Why on Earth would you play him 4 days later in the biggest game of the season? Baffling. Burnley fully deserving of their 3 points.

Very disappointing to lose today but we just didn't well enough on the pitch. I don't think JDT picked the right formation today. We didn't get in Burnley players. Playing out from the back today cost is massively, and it was suicidal at times. Mola was awful second half. First half we sat deep and kept the shape well and limited them to 2 chances late in the half. We didn't created anything and if Brittian had played a better ball to Gallagher and I think we would have took the lead. 

Second half we had a 5 minutes spell at the start of the second half were we look threaten but after Gallagher went off we didn't off note. I felt that the Barnes first goal should have ruled a foul after he pushed Kaminski into the net. Second half we weren't good enough to get anything from that goal. 

I also felt that the ref was weak and didn't stamp his authority on the game were players got away with fouls that should have been yellow cards. 

We need to look at the overall season and we are 3rd after 21 league games which is above most people expectations for the season and deffo above my expectations. Hopefully in the 5 weeks break we can get some good training in and JDT can work with these players and improve them and they can get to understand him more what he wants from them tactical and performance wise, then we can get a playoff place at least from this season.

I think the 5 at the back stop us being any sort of attacking force and I think we should have lined 4-2-3-1 or 4-3-3 formation as this would have given us a better platform to have an impact on the game

I don't think its need to be factor at all, if you are good enough then you are old enough. 

Garrett was decent enough along with any other players who got 5's but no-one should out today for us. Lots of 3's, 4's and 5's for BRFCS ratings.

As I said earlier this week, this game wouldn't define our season and I think JDT is performing miracles with a very limited group of players (and some very exciting promising youngsters). We competed for 55 mins, let in a disappointing goal then fell apart when our only other recognised striker went off injured and we switched to a more attacking formation against a team with better players across the park.

So no, not really.

I thought this squad, in this league could and can be top 6 yes. I'm not massively put out by JDT for the record but the manner in which we do lose is so concerning. For years I would ordinarily put defeats and losses on the players. I think players at every club get away with murder and can hide behind the manager. This is the first time in my life I actually think you can blame the managers selection and tactics on multiple defeats. Purely down to that and that alone. 

I don't even think Burnley were that impressive today. We invited them on, didn't play to put strengths, start messing about at the back over and over and the managers orders. Awful.

If he wants to continue to play as he is then unfortunately there's no room in the side for Travis - his vision and passing isn't good enough for how he wants his CMs to play. 

Assuming Mola can cover LB the three areas of concern for me are CF, RB (backup) and CM. I like Morton, I think Garrett has a future, I wish Buckley would start pulling his finger out and I think Wharton is a future superstar... but I'd LOVE an established player who can pass in there to ease the pressure on the two first-year Academy graduates and a misfiring Buckley. 

Morton has established himself as one of the first names on the team sheet and, quite frankly, he's not that good.
