I’m done with this walking football. It’s so easy to play against it’s untrue. Imagine yourself playing in a game were you can run but your opponents can’t. Easy peasy. It just allows your opponents to maintain a shape. We aren’t asking them questions they can’t answer. How many times were players coming to pick up the ball yet were facing our goals ? Suicide football.
I couldn’t believe their first goal. Almost right after the KO a lazy understrength pass from out wide straight into the danger area. Ridiculous. Kaminski got down like he was getting into bed also. He should have thrown his cap on a shot like that. Same thing applies to their equaliser. That was really soft. Time to give Pears a game I think. Kaminski has thrown too many in lately for me.

A lot of our passing was under hit. You can blame the pitch if you like but Big Club didn’t seem to have the same problem. We got well and truly bullied again yesterday, we are a soft touch all over the pitch. Too many just dangle a foot in or try and nick the ball away when a real block tackle is called for. They aimed every long ball to Jutkiewicz and he won every flick on, it was crying out for Ayala to be out there to combat that. I lost count of the number of times we got craftily nudged off the ball just before it arrived, we’re way too lightweight all over the pitch but especially in midfield. The ref had his eyes painted  on in that respect.

I could go on and on - Gallagher, going backwards at a rate of knots. This tip tappy play doesn’t suit him at all. BBD - BB is back. If I was the Villareal scout who recommended him I’d be really worried. Hedges - injured again. Dack did well but faded after 70 minute plus missing a really good chance in the second half. The two in midfield - Morton ? We’re carrying him I’m afraid. Physically he’s at under 21 level. Buckley was a bit better but not a lot. As a pair it’s not working and it never well. Changes needed there. Pickering , playing one level above his ability. The two lads at centre half, in-experienced players against men who know the game. They never got near Jutkiewicz in the air. Kaminski, a game to forget, he got really lucky with the one that went through his legs and just wide in the first half.

JRC was our best player and the only one to put a foot in.

JDT ? I’m not impressed. I’d have been just as disapointed if we’d have held on for a 2-1. Most of the time we’re playing nothing football. This season is going to fizzle out into nothingness. Play like that against the dingles and it’ll be a car crash.

Harsh on the CB's. Carter played well and Jutkiewicz did very little. SW also played quite well until the mistake that led to their 2nd.

Kaminski was shit though, and has been for a while.

Jutkiewicz won every header in the second half. Just as he did when he came on as sub in the league game at Ewood. We should have been ready for him but we weren’t. Where was Ayala yesterday ? Even if the flick ons didn’t always go to a Brum player our defence struggled to deal with them

Ayala was sent off in the last game and was suspended tbf.

A thing I noticed yesterday, was how wise their players were compared to ours. Little nudges here and there to put ours off balance and win the ball/header. Imagine Ashley bloody Barnes up against those two at the back, they'd get shoved all over the place.

Expecting to get anywhere in this league, but being reliant on young players like Morton, is a fool's game.

Think Ayala was suspended after the sending off at Bristol City.

I was directly in line with our defensive line in the 2nd half and I can assure you he didn't win 'every' header. He was hardly in the game. But he is renowned for his aerial threat, every defender has difficulty with him in the air.

We must have watched a different game. We’ll need Ayala back on Tuesday for sure.

I noticed how they were much more physical than we were. Those little nudges just before the ball arrives to get you off balance. They were at it all over the pitch and the ref let them get away with it.

I enjoyed sitting in the Jack Walker Upper stand W12 area yesterday and the view was good and I did notice that not every kiosk was open yesterday is this standard practice or was it just for this game in the concourse area?

After seeing the goals this morning I am even more frustrated by Kaminski for both goals which he should have saved easily.

Even if we take that we were brilliant as a given, which I disagree with, why do we play with a fast tempo so infrequently?

Yet again I never said we were brilliant all game but for that period of the game the way we played with the ball and how we pass and move was brilliant to watch.

I would like to know why we don't play with fast tempo more.

The Morton comment was a general one, I accept that today you have criticised him.

Thankyou for acknowledging my comment

How did Reda Khadra play, aside from his goal? I felt that he or Poveda would've been good options for Rovers to add some pace and trickery to the forward line and give Dolan and Hedges some competition.

Didn't do much. Not better than we have

Just looked at Lancslive to see if i was going mad...but no their journo sees it the same.

All I saw second half was their keeper launching long balls into the old inside left channel over half way line onto Jutkiewicz’s head. He was getting flick ons back into centre field. They didn’t always go to a Brum player but we struggled to deal with the loose balls. Anybody else care to comment ?

The same player came on as sub in the home game and caused havoc then.

He's always caused havoc in the air, he used to do it for Burnley too. It's pretty much why he's a pro footballer.

I'm happy with what I saw and the journo who was there backs it up.

Didn't do much. Not better than we have

Khadra got lucky with the goal, decent shot but 19/20 times the keeper saves it. Other than that he didn’t do much. Got the shepherds crook in the second half. No better than what we already have.

I sit in W12 in line with the penalty spot Chaddy, it's a good view and you get the BBE atmosphere.

As for the kiosks, it's a regular occurence for one to be closed and for there to be slow queues. I don't bother any more.

For the first time in ages, there was a sizeable queue at the turnstiles. It was fortunate that all 3 were working, as usually the one nearest the BBE is closed.

Would you be equally happy with those two playing up against him on Tuesday ?

I think whoever he plays against he will win headers. He's a bit Andy Carroll in that respect. I just don't think he gave Carter/Wharton a particularly torrid time.

Ayala may handle him better in the box because he will position himself better and head more away.

I thought Carter did fine against him. He is old fashioned type of striker but thought Carter did fine against him. Maybe why they keep playing into their left side was cos JRC playing at right back

Carter had a steady game. Thought he did what was asked of him for almost the entire match.

I am thinking of moving permanent there next season with my ST. I was sat in row 3 which was excellent view of the game.

I don't buy anything from the kiosks anymore due to overpricing and the type of food served.

I didn't have a problem at the turnstiles but I was there at 2.20pm so wouldn't expect any sort of queues then.

Well hit shot.

Kaminski has a long term weakness on low shots from distance. He's fine with waist high and much better now when the ball is higher or with crosses but low is a recurring problem

I agree. I'm surprised anyone buys from them. Overpriced rubbish.

It was well hit but it wasn’t exactly a thunderbolt. I expect my keeper to save those. The equaliser was worse.

Like everything else these days at Ewood, contracted out and nobody gives a toss about the fan experience.

We have so much local food and drink to choose from, they'd jump at the chance to be involved at Ewood, bit nobody cares.
