If we can get OBrian in it would make a huge difference also Thomas offers us alot in attacking sense..

Hyam and Brittain back is a big plus.

Good thing they've come back now, with Wharton and JRC going off injured!

Just a thought - Pears has been exclusively coached by Benson over the last few years.

I believe Raya was coached by him from 15 years old? And didn’t many say TK was up with the leagues best before he started throwing them in?

Benson being shit/too involved whatever has become a vicious circle of a BRFCS conspiracy theory.

Yeah that’s how I see it too. 2nd half was poor after a decent enough 1st half.
Morton/Buckley too slow and weak. Travis not good enough with the ball. Tricky to know the best combo. I’d go Travis and JRC next week, maybe JRC can be our O’Brien type, he’s been one of our best attacking outlets recently from full back!

If Brittain is fit, I would definitely be putting JRC into the middle, would be huge improvement on both Travis and Morton.

I'd agree, but the alternative seems to be Buckley.

Hopefully A.Wharton isn't too far away.

That is the flipside yeh. I'd still rather Buckley though. He's a bit of a liability, but less of one. We also actually own him, so if he does develop any further it will be to our benefit not Liverpool's.

No questioning the resolve of this bunch to play the whole game! Definitely not quitters.

keep it up, lads!

It's literally the first time they've succeeded in any sense after going behind in the league, so that seems a very premature statement tbh. Hopefully it means the rot is ended though.

Here my summary now that I've calmed down now.

I thought it was a much better attacking performance and Diaz had 4 shots in the game and looked like the old Diaz. We had 10 shots during the game and 4 being on target which 3 were from Diaz.

Pears was excellent tonight and he made a few very good saves tonight. Carter stood out again at Centre back. Pickering and JRC good again. Morton performance was awful and needs dropping from the next game.

Thomas and Dack not much impact tonight.

We need to go and beat Swansea and Blackpool now to make 8 points from 4 games now.

Come on Rovers!!!

Two solid points away from home that showed spirit above anything else. A great feeling to actually come back for the first time in the league under Tomasson even if it was off the back of a non existent response to their goal until their keeper chucked one in.

Defensively showed a lot of character, the 3 centre backs all did well as did the full backs, with Pickering man of the match IMO. Pears was very good too, great save after a very decisive punch prior.

Morton invisible until superb work for West Brom to help them score. A rubbish signing who plays regardless of form. Travis was impressively fighting a midfield battle alone and looks back to himself.

Going forward it still isnt't right. Dolan is not a striker and never will be, Brereton was our main threat but coming from so deep and wide he is mainly left with pot shots, yet not even temporarily do they change around.

The subs hindered us and I can only imagine were pre-determined. Szmodics is an expensive downgrade on Dack and Thomas was really starting to cause problems before getting hooked. Gallagher barely had a kick in his short cameo.

These 2 points are good ones if we collect the next 6 points, if not then they are of little use.

Would love it but I just can’t see us winning both games.

he`s been very solid,i thought he was done for after his calamity at wigan last year,he must be training with someone else and keeping away from benson😊

Again with the Benson stuff.

Tell you what, let’s get in the guy that coached that highly coveted Spanish PL international goalkeeper from 15 to 24.

He also coached that Belgian lad. Looks a top Champ goalkeeper, forget his name.

oh wait.

Is it really because he didn’t play at professional level? We dying for some fat washed up Mark Bosnich type or something?

Have anyone missed Kaminski. To be fair Pears has been brilliant.

To be fair to him, he has. I fear another clanger could be around the corner, probably a confidence player, but hopefully he at least keeps it up until TK is fit again. If he does back to the Pears of the Wigan game last year with only youth team keepers to cover, it won't be good at all. Great to see him earning his wage though.

To be fair, you probably didn't see us being unbeaten from consecutive Watford and WBA away games, but here we are.

Fingers crossed for 6 points in the next 2 - would see us firmly in the top 6.

He probably left on 88 mins to beat the traffic.

Never left early in 60 years except for Peterborough last season.  Great goal but the rest of it, dear oh dear. Watching Rovers is like watching paint dry.

benson could`nt coach a budgie to eat trill, though he is very adept at wielding a clipboard and parading around the technical area like he`s important, should be dispensed, along with lowe

Benson may be shite, he may be good. We really don't know, because we don't see him in training and even if we did, we don't know enough about how top level coaching works to judge. Great coaching doesn't always produce great players, and vice versa.

But to counter your points anyway 😉 ...sometimes someone just has natural talent. Raya's shot-stopping reflexes have always been his best attribute, and I'm not sure how much that can be coached. Other aspects of his game, the kind that I feel sure can be coached, were weaker. Decision-making, coming for crosses etc. Kaminski was already 27 I think when he got here, most of his coaching had been done. Nonetheless he seems to have regressed recently and isn't as good a keeper as the one that turned up here initially. Presently anyway - form can come and go of course. Raya has improved since going to Brentford, turning from a player we got 3 million for into one quoted as an 8 million, 15 million, and most recently a 40 million player. And lastly, if Ben Benson was such a good goalkeeping coach, and a lot of Raya's success was down to him, how have we managed to retain him when half our staff have buggered off in recent years? Anybody with an ounce of talent in the setup seems to get poached, sometimes by lower league clubs. We even lost somebody to a women's team didn't we?

Like I say though, he may be a good coach, who knows. Combining the above with his lack of experience in the game though, I can see why people have a negative impression of his credentials and achievements.

Nonsense. On what evidence???

If we were looking for a goalkeeper coach, and we employed someone with his CV, you’d be more than fine with it - as long as  he’d had a couple of seasons for Cambridge Utd in the 90s or something.
