Some bright spots. A good goal. Some frustrating play.

I think that the CBs lack of decent forward passing ability and the non-existent midfield is contributing to our poor attacking play because Thomas, Dolan, Szmodics etc are good players, we just can’t work the ball to them. Could lead us into trouble too.

Keep it simple and knock it long into the channels.

Buckley has had such a poor season though. Miles off it compared to last.

Wharton has his fault but attempting forward play is one part of his game I like.

Yes his left foot would be invaluable here, especially with a right footer at right back. Similarly Adam Wharton in midfield would help a lot with a left foot. Because everyones right footed we end up playing quite a narrow range of passing forward.

Anyway Blackpool might be the worst team we have seen at Ewood this season so it doesn't look a massive issue for us.

Forwards have been good. Those saying Gallgher should come off - he's god awful on the ball but off it he gives the defenders something to think about. Bring Vale on and watch us suddenly struggle as the CBs will just step up and squeeze the space for our forwards. I could maybe go for Hedges having a crack at CF if we did bring Gally on.

I'd put Dolan on daily diving training. Improve his technique.

Shame, cos that was a strong leg in, cud easily have been a pen, but he makes it so bloody obvious. The ref's feel insulted.

Was going to say we could do with A Benni Mccarthy type striking coach... Then remembered Tomasson was actually a highly successful forward🙈 (although he definitely wasn't ever a prolific goal scorer)
