Season tickets 2023-24 - what could/should be offered ?

Recommended Posts

Though it is of course a cracking example that reducing prices in 2008 saw a big spike in sales from where we were in the mid 2000s, unfortunately if you use examples of the PL years valid points get drowned out by ‘well it was a load of PL glory hunters buying them’.

What is more valid is how sales have only been stuck at this nadir of c8k since the price hikes post 2019. Similar local clubs outside the PL have proved how that can be overcome…

When STs were £199 in the BBE, we sold 19,000 of them.

That’s evidence in OUR OWN HISTORY.

We have PL football and money which offset the low price.

Also if you compare that price to this season price(£379) its gone up 1 pounds a month. £180 over over 15 years.

And had it gone up with inflation in that time it would have cost just £280 last season.

Season tickets weren't really a thing back then you're getting desperate pal give over digging.

Cheaper ST lead to more sales undeniable facts and significantly cheaper with lead to a significant increase.  Doesn't matter if it's 11k or 15k it's still a lot more than we shift at these prices and better for the football club as a whole for many reasons.

We do have a weird fanbase though arguing against these things.

Another change of opinion?

as I said time after time the price isn't alot in my opinion for myself to watch 23 Rovers game and I think its value for money for me. Outlined my reasons previously not going them again, But I said before(again) that not everyone can afford the current price and they should be lower.

its a pounds a month over 15 years. basically nothing

Are you saying that someone who wants a season ticket now should have been putting a pound a month away since 2009 to afford it? If they had done, how do they afford next years ticket because they won’t have had 15 years to save up for it?

no, you are over thinking it here.

I was showing how much they have increased in 15 years which stands at a pound a month

If a loaf of bread had increased at £1 a month would that be ok? What about petrol? What about a brand new Ferrari?  It’s a nonsense stat.

I would, just for comparison, like to know how much a month season tickets have increased since Swaggot came through the door, especially in the riverside.

It was £279 in the Riverside in 2018 when he was appointed.

In 1991 I paid 99 pound for my season ticket. We sold 5000. At the end of that season we won the play off final. Jack put the price up to 199 pound an 100 pound increase. We sold over 1200...Price increase...More Sales...Just saying..
