Why aren't you convince by Garrett?

JRC has upped his form and game to improve. Is that down to talks with JDT about his future?

He was backed last summer with signings and I would expect similar spend again

Just dont rate him from what I have seen. Not good on the ball and very rash.

Hyam, Brittain and Szmodics have been excellent to good signings, Morton has been goodish at times. others 2 have been poor

I think he is good on the ball and can switch the ball.

Very rash?

And neither, will be good plans, or will involve value for money season tickets.

I would right now say that Rovers are worth plenty of value with their performances. You could see the connect between the fans and players/JDT post match with they came and applaud the fans

They might be playing well, getting good results and creating a connection. But the value for price v the standard of football baring in mind the cost of living crisis is not there.

I could afford, but not justify, paying the current prices

They are playing very well and getting excellent results. There is a real buzz around the fanbase and the ground. Its great to see this IMO

There will be two plans for Summer

Championship

Premier League

Are you sure about that, @philipl? Are you Waggott in disguise?!! Shouldn't you have written, "There should be two ..."

Wales a bigger org than Rovers?

Well he is Welsh and had spent a number of years with their football association so I don't see why it wouldn't be a pull for him having a bigger role in that organisation and presumably an improved wage.

I very much doubt he has decided to move on due to someone not getting O'Brien's registration through.

We have got to the stage, that because of poor performances in the past, average performances are regarded as acceptable. Season tickets in my opinion, are not value for money.

There are usually only 2 reasons why someone like Williams would voluntarily leave a club doing well after only 6 months of a 'project' having not even yet had a summer window to prepare for.

Either a massive or irresistible offer from elsewhere, or inherent problems/issues in his current role that make it desirable to leave.

Given this development comes a matter of weeks after the biggest transfer window shambles in living memory I don't think it is negative to draw links and assumptions that all is not well.

I hope it is me making 5 from 2 and 2 but my starting point where this club and these owners are concerned is to look at such developments with apprehension. It isn't normal to join a club under a new super structure in the summer and then by early March be off back to a previous organisation.

Given his experience with Wales and history. I'm surprised he is leaving.

We have to agree to disagree cos I think Season Tickets are value for money in my opinion. Others might not agree

Havent you said before that you think Waggott should reduce prices? I may be mistaken.

One of the higher prices in the division in one of the less affluent areas, leaving the stadium usually over half empty. Many clearly not seeing the value.

From my own viewpoint I think Season tickets are value for money. Others will disagree.

If you want to sell more season tickets then prices will have dropped to attract those fans who can't afford that price. Even tho ST revenue might not gone up much but you get extra 5k fans on.

So if you was in charge, would you increase/maintain/decrease prices?

Presumably maintain if you think they are value for money?

Dropping the price would lead to more revenue as you will sell more.

The price is too much. Fact.

If we're still in the championship then a couple of strikers are a must, Sorba Thomas has been a great addition, a centre mid and possibly a left back. Emphasis on quality over quantity.

------

If we got promoted I'd absolutely love us to make an attempt for Victor Gyokeres. Proving his value season after season for Coventry.

I'd be quite open to a combination of top Championship level players (would O'brien still consider us) a couple of overseas recruits and any proven Premier league players who are out of favour. Be shrewd in our recruitment. It would be an almighty scrap to stay in the Prem and if we were relegated, we'd be well set to bounce back.

Like another Danny Murphy and the list of expensive has beens we’ve had in the past. I’m not a lover of Brentford’s manager but they’ve done it without reverting to “out of favour Premier League players” who would bust our pay structure. Better to get the head of recruitment to identify players that can make the step up to the Premiership.

If you want more season ticket holders inside the stadium then prices need to drop to attract fans who can't afford 400 pounds but could afford 280 or 250 pounds. You might attract another 5k more season ticket holders with those prices. Revenue wouldn't necessarily increase depending on prices and who is season ticket holder
