Saints excellent going forward but so vulnerable at the back.

Let the guy fall over then toe poke with his other foot.

If there is no appeal for the Bree dismissal which looked harsh, Southampton come to Ewood weakened at the back and desperately seeking a win.

Should be a cracker

Yeah, one of the worst teams to come to Ewood this season - didn't have a sniff.

Clearly they're an incredibly lucky team.

How many goals have they scored to get points in the last ten minutes ? That’s nothing to do with luck.

They've just taken 6 points from 2 games when they deserved, at best, 1. That's luck.

You arent top of the league luckily at this stage of the season.

Teams that keep scoring in the last 5 or 10 minutes of a game are good teams. Like it or not, it’s a fact. They keep going when most teams would be happy with a draw.

They’ve got promoted, spent just £4.6 million and are proving that you can actually outperform the parachute payment clubs if you do it right.

Yep, fair play to them. Would love them to pip either Leeds or Leicester to a top 2 spot.

Why has that Hull defender done that 🙈🙈

I’d be fuming if i was a hull fan. Or Leicester and Ipswich.

Plymouth confirm they have sacked their manager...and that their Director of Football and First Team Coach will be in charge for the rest of the season. Putting a director of football in temporary charge feels like a relegation decision to me.

I feared they may appoint someone like Warnock which would have given them a chance. I feel they are now the faves for thr drop alongside Sheff W. Rotherham obviously went a long time ago.

Well Plymouth didn't really give Ian Foster a fair chance for me. When they played us at Ewood Park, The football they played were great to watch.

I am surprised they didn't have someone line up to replace him with

That is extraordinary.

If games lasted 75 minutes we would still be chasing a play-off place.../

With a +16 swing in goal difference than we currently have 🤯

Probably points to how weak the squad has been over the season, especially with 5 subs other teams are replacing like for like and we are bringing on 15 year olds who can't even wear the kit sponsors.

Absolutely

The quality of our bench this season is as poor as it has been for years

Only last year, we had Bradley Dack, Daniel Ayala, Adam Wharton, Pears, Scott Wharton, Sorba Thomas, Leonard, Phillips

This year it has not been good enough. Those players have either moved on or been considered first team players.

Our bench for the last game of the season vs Milwall was: Ayala, Dack, Kaminski, Brittain, Dolan, Garrett and Leonard

If JDT had just been backed in that January transfer window we would have been in the play offs. We had a really good squad. We had Tony Mowbray to thank for some of that if we are being honest, but JDT had them coached to a seriously high level, even if there were questions over our 'spine' when going behind. What they have done to us over the last 2 transfer windows is nothing short of criminal; turned a squad like that into one where we look to the bench and see the likes of McFadzean

It's not new. It was a big problem under Mowbray and has continued. Points to lack of fitness maybe, poor concentration and poor game management - leaders on the pitch who know how to see out games.

Foster is style over substance, much like a lot of managers, including our previous one!

They hadn't scored a goal at home for 5 matches. He deserved the sack. Appointing your Director of Football as interim manager is something that even Venkys haven't done (yet!).
