You'll be leading this disruption then, will you ?

Nah I'm in the 12000 strong majority that refuses to have the piss taken out of them.

You won't catch me anywhere near Ewood whilst these cunts are about.

Keep getting behind the lads, you're making a difference.

You live in Australia, it’s a long walk to Ewood

I do not live in Australia, how dare you!

I lived in Mill Hill for a couple of years and refused to go then. Proximity to Ewood has absolutely nothing to do with it.

I think UD lives in NZ. They don’t have shackle marks there.

Haven’t read an article like this on us for quite some time:

https://t.co/Y8BkeACin7.

Very sobering, but well balanced and researched for a neutral at least (IMO).

Thanks for that link. It was a good read. Aside from a few errors, I thought it summed up the situation quite well. As you say, very sobering and another reminder that our club is just clinging onto life that is slipping away, rather than making, or even aiming for, any real progress/prosperity. Until Venkys leave. IF, they ever do...

The bit in the article relating to the court case being Venkys' appealing against the Indian government rules on matching funding going abroad, got me thinking.

Is the case which is due to be heard tomorrow (possibly, perhaps) purely a 'yes/no' on this point? Or is it about anything beyond that? We all understand there is some form of ongoing investigation in India. Is the outcome of that investigation required for the court case to be be heard and decided, at all, or is it something that is directly within the remit of the court case?

If the former, then I imagine we might well be gearing up for a potential further adjournment and stasis likely going into the January transfer window?

Sorry, I might have just lost track of all this over the many months!

It's been said the two things are separate and this just relates to them trying to get rid of the like for like penalty on sending money over.

Allegedly the investigation into the main issues relating to the VH group is ongoing and we've never heard if they've got their properties back yet that were supposedly seized over there.

Perhaps they were the 'bond' for money sent over last year.

The cause list has reference to both the saga which has been ongoing since ‘23 and to the appeal you refer to (Sept’ 24)

The latter seems to be the Venkys asking the court to rule that the D of E need to either ‘shit or get off of the pot’.

As mentioned earlier, given the listing number of 72, it’s not looking hopeful either of these things will be dealt with tomorrow.

I don't understand how cases ever get heard in India, if we are number 72 tomorrow then there is no chance. Which means another delay till Feb/March based on previous delays.

Do you need to pay to get up the list or something? There must be a way for a court case to be heard as otherwise this will just go on forever?

You would also hope that cases that had already been adjourned several times would be prioritised on the list order.

But then, I have no idea of the history of the first 71.

But if number 31 was only lodged months ago, and we're at 72, would be a pretty stupid system.

It is more likely to be a corrupt system.

You almost get the impression Venkys ain't that bothered i wonder how hard their legal team are pushing this ?

It's obviously not seen as very important by anybody and at this rate could go on forever.

It's very much up for debate whether or not they even have to match money sent over like for like.

My reading of the previous Court judgment reproduced on here is that they merely have to provide personal guarantees to cover any money transferred.

And of course Waggott has previously declared on more than one occasion that there is "no impediment" to them funding the Club as normal which would be nearer to them having to merely provide guarantees as opposed to double funding.

Looks nailed on for another adjournment tomorrow though given the position in the Court list. The farce rolls endlessly on. A cynic might say the owners are finding this endless delay quite convenient.

Indeed. It'll be interesting to see what happens though when the Wharton/Szmodics instalments dry up because none of the current crop are fetching decent money.

The two hearings described as final matters are the Venkys one and number 73 (the final one on the list!).

There seems to be no ‘date based’ logic to the ones which precede these two.

At a glance (and not wishing to alarm anyone)  one of the earlier cases appears to have started in 2017! 😬😬
