It is almost beyond belief that we are now roughly 8 years on from when the shadow man started effectively running the club on behalf of the owners in which time there has been no interview, no forum, no investigation of him or his background by media, a couple of photographs and minor references on official media. This might be of no importance to some but it is important to me.

I long since concluded there is no hope on this front with such a large number of people signed up to the Venky appreciation society. So the only way of dealing with this is to reduce my financial and emotional investment in this because ultimately it is doing me no good at all to carry on.

Every week I find myself getting very angry at fellow supporters. Reading comments after the game blaming JDT for the state we are in yet not a single mention of the real problem at the club and the second the subject moves to the owners they are 'off limits' as far as criticism goes.  People quite happy to spend their days lambasting JDT and the players for in game failings but completely unwilling to discuss or criticise the architects upstairs.

I genuinely share your same pain. Horrible seeing the slow and painful demise of our once proud and great club.

If it had happened to Liverpool or spurs you'd never hear the end of it. Look what e we've become, we've been hollowed out. How it was even possible for venkys to buy us, let alone all that happened next, is scandalous. But no one outside of rovers really cares, and the gravy train keeps on rolling, so it's all been forgotten about.

But more than just what's happened, what makes me sadder still is the feeling that these bastards won't let go of us.

Is it being done out of spite? Apathy? Tax write off? The idea that they're somehow into football and want rovers to be successful, well you can shove that. They've been a destructive force for this club, and will continue to be so until the blessed day, if it comes, when they finally, for the first time, do something decent for this club... By putting it up for sale.

But yeah, fuck all of em. And their kids. Their best mates. Their stooges. Their butler. Their pet mongoose. Fat barrys under-boob fungal yeast growth

Barring going to India and murdering the family in cold blood, I have no idea how to solve this problem. I cannot think of a practical and realistic way of getting rid of the owners and their useless stooges. It is a major part of why I don't really bother with the sport any more as a whole.

I was also one of those people. It was a miserable time. I was constantly conflicted between wanting the team to win and play well and knowing that any wins would be used as ammo by our scumbag manager to belittle the fans who were trying to expose the horrors behind the scenes. As well as knowing that winning the odd game of football was a minor battle and the real fight was in winning the soul of the club.

Looking back, I wish I was one of the supporters who just shrugged their shoulders. The frustration of the protests between 2010 and 2012, as well as the brief re-emergence under Coyle, were horrible, stressful and just felt like shouting into a void. I wish I cared less.

this is very random, and has zero input into anything on this thread, but remember when the venkys got egged as they came to ewood park? I saw a pic of their car from that day. I sadly put the registration plate into MOT checker on google, There Mercedes Benz MOT ran out in 2020. I guess they either got a new car, or no longer have any interest in coming back to the UK again.

Geurrilla tactics required to embarrass Venky's and draw attention to their recently exposed illegal business practices. Fit and proper my arse!

Some saw this coming, others went into denial whilst some inexplicably turned against protests. In the not to distant future we will all be able reflect on what we did in the name of our club, as we look over the wreckage of the venky era. 

 

Personally I'm comfortable with my actions over this period. Some I fear will look back with regret.

To Venkys....if the Indian Government refuse you permission to invest in our Football Club then the suffering fans implore you to put us up for sale and we ALL move on for the better.

Why would you hear it? The majority see no issue with them.

Indeed JDT calling them out should lead to a few of them waking up to the root cause of this shambles of a football club, but you are far more likely to hear them telling him to ‘stop moaning and making excuses’.

All going swimmingly well this season for the owners, their representative and the bloke masquerading as a chief executive:

• Another summer gone by with a negative net transfer spend and several 'big' earners off the books - Dack, Diaz, Kaminski
• Manager has tolerated their latest nonsense and not (yet) resigned saving them aggravation
• Results inconsistent but good enough to (so far) avoid any serious relegation discussion, which is when things start getting uncomfortable upstairs. Nice and steady down the middle of the road is how we like it. Saves expectations of any serious additions in January if not in a promotion push like the last couple of years.
• Another decent league cup run leading to a money spinner at Chelsea
• Academy lads' values and stats improving all the time, not to mention a potential jackpot with Szmodics scoring every other week
• Now that things are inevitably coming off the rails, thanks to the owners and their henchmen, all eyes and blame goes to Broughton and JDT either for not recruiting well enough or for not using the players well enough. Almost no blame from what I read and hear (other than a few on this website) directed towards the people in control.

Happy days for the boys upstairs. Should have enough to limp along until May, a couple of big sales this window or next will keep the owners (or their bankers) happy and best of all they get no grief or hassle for any of it. 

JDT unlikely to be here much beyond May at the latest so they can then string us along through the summer 'give the new man a chance FFS' and rinse and repeat.
