Outplayed a PL team for the most part. Sadly, JDT hasn't been given the right tools to do the job.

Still, a long way to go this season. Bit too soon to be writing the season off.

Lots of positives.

Lot of much bigger negatives too. Can't actually see where the next points are coming from. The pretty football will disappear with lack of confidence and reality setting in. Can see some humiliations on the horizon if Jdt doesn't change tack. But I suspect he's happy with all the plaudits from the media and is just now waiting for an exit door to open.

Sunderland have a younger team than we do and are 4th in the league. They sold off their experienced players too.

Yes, we needed experience but we have good young players who are being left horribly exposed by awful tactics. Wharton is the best young midfielder in the league who is being left to look like a complete chump because he's got no one around him to support.

Players like Carter are looking woeful as its 4 on 4 every attack so they don't know which way to turn.

Yes, poor transfer window but the tactics are to blame at the moment. Shipping 3+ every game is inexcusable.

They spent over 4 million on Jude Bellingham’s brother . Different level to a German 4th tier gamble

Big lesson today - miss chances cost us dearly - Carter was a liability from the off and needs a break. Adam W was way off his game 2 mistakes led to two goals.

Learn from this and we will be okay if they don’t relegation battle looms large

Waggott Out not heard once which is pretty sad really

That's the thing with developing players at this level it doesn't matter who they are or how good potential they always hit sticky patches and need a break.  It's basic football management principles but here now they play one or two decent games and that's it your a first team regular.

And as back up we tend to have even less experienced guys.

Difference is they are a team and club being built up and built upon from the foundations and promotion laid by the previous manager.

Similar to how we were in TMs early years except the club itself has ambition.

All we have here is downgrading with nothing more intention wise than treading water.

Fair comment from the Foxes board -

Great result and the quality in this squad at this level is clearly unfair. Thought we were comfortably second best between both boxes but apart from the press at the start of the game, just far better in the areas that mattered.

Blackburn shouldn’t stay down where they are for the quality of some of their play and how well drilled they are tactically. Wouldn’t be surprised to see someone take JDT soon as he’s not gonna get any investment there.

That was painful. I didn't expect to win this, but there were opportunities in there to do that. I'm getting really fed up of hearing about how we play nice football. It doesn't matter at all when you see us slipping down towards the relegation zone.

Sutton sounds like he's nailed it. We are a development club. Waggott said it, stay up and develop players, that's the only aim.

That's the message from the top.

Abysmal.

Lose £15m a season and hope that you can develop young players of value to sell and cover the losses. Every season. Its the economics of the madhouse.

I think Leicester are the best team in the Championship and will win the league but their 4-1 win today flattered them in my opinion. It fine margins sometimes and if Travis (who I thought played well today) doesn't hesitate and takes his shot earlier we could have been level. Instead within a couple of minutes they get a penalty and go 3-1 up and pretty much game over. Once again we didn't cover ourselves in glory defensively as Leicester played swift counter attacks. I don't like losing but I'm not too down after today unlike the Ipswich game. I think either Hill or Scott Wharton deserve a chance to play simply because of the number of goals we are shipping. Hopefully we can get something on the road next week to cheer us all up.and

I still have total faith in Tomasson.

JDT's post match comments seem to be the same every single defeat. We must be so unlucky to consistently lose games where we "deserve more".

We are in some ways but he has to address it matchday tactics are on him.

Number of times so many are committed forward into good positions then we play short pass tap ball slowly around their area. Comes to nothing, we lose it and are then wide open at the back the law of averages states teams with better forwards will punish you if you keep giving them opportunities.

Agreed, Sunderland broke on us way more than Leicester did today. If Leicester had that many breaks it could have been 6/7. A misplaced pass happens, when it gives them a 5 on 4 there is a flaw in the system.

current worst jobs in the world

ukrainian front line soldier

female teacher in afghanistan

gay rights campaigner in uganda

centre back and goalkeeper for blackburn rovers

jdt has been acting like a right d**k head since his budget was cut,you don`t  commit 7/8 players forwards and not get caught on the counter, especially against leicester, the best side in the league,we were thoroughly outplayed because of our managers silly team shape

Results count for more than attractive football.

However poor Carter/Pears/Wahlstedt looked today it cant be any picnic when the managers tactics leave you so exposed all the game.....other teams have players like defensive midfielders to protect the back line.

The Nobbers results suggest its not all about the lack of investment. Even Luton got to the promised land with a miniscule budget.

This is on JDT fair and square.

Seriously ? That game was an absolute stroll for Leicester.

Despite having some technically gifted players we are a very poor team and so easy to play against. Way too passive in every respect. I didn't see any positives today.

Many others have said it but JDT needs to change his approach or we are going to spend all season losing whilst other manages compliment us on playing football the ‘right way’.

It’s basically the back 4 plus Wharton on defence and everyone else can do what they like. And tackling isn’t Whartons game at all.

What's your suggestion? A new manager?

It was in the end. It wasn't for most of the game as everyone who watched it has said.

Thought 4-1 flattered them - and overall we played well. Obvious issues in defence for their first goal, second was Premiership class, third - yes a penalty but the guy is over 6ft and dives so easily it is untrue, 4th goal pressing to get back in game though thought keeper could have been quicker to close down shot.

For all the stick the defence will get - our decision making in the final third was woefull at times - possibly highlighting the lack of a centre forward. Gallagher will get better and better the longer this goes on.

Just watched the Pears toe incident back and look on JDTs face when he came off said it all.

We'll be down to the bare bones before mid October at this rate and now there is another rookie in the sticks. I don't care what they paid for him or what ONE cap for his country says to some the lad is a rookie at this level walking into a side that concedes for fun.

We're not doing much in the way of developing our defensive youngsters at the moment! They are sellable assets just the same as the attackers.

Worrying on the keeper front, Hilton in the game he played at the start of the season was very far from ready to deputise on the bench (and he;s in front of Eastham).

Hopefully Hill comes in, Carter drops to cup games and Leo holds on. JRC for Wharton. Garrett comes off the bench more.

Absolute shite and slipping naively into a relegation battle with a team full of kids. Goal difference getting higher and higher into the minuses.

This comes down to the owners, not even specifically Waggott or Broughton, just Venkys. Their stubbornness in the past over players whose contracts are expiring coupled with the aggressive mid summer slashing of the budget has left the squad as a shell.

But saying that, that doesn't give Tomasson free reign, the way we are playing very much is down to him and it is simply not fit for purpose. We have conceded 4 today, 3 v Sunderland, 4 v Ipswich and 3 v Plymouth and overall as many as any team in the league. This cannot go on, we simply are not giving ourselves a chance to win games. It is partly down to individual mistakes but they are massively exposed by our gung ho tactics. "Fortress Ewood" is long gone too. If he doesn't make significant changes to how we play, we will continue to leak goals and slide into a relegation battle and there aren't many of our lads that you would want in the trenches with you.

Carter needs dropping, mistake after mistake, Hyam has also looked far shakier although both are again being exposed. Markanday isn't Championship standard, Sigurdsson struggled today and doesn't look very quick, and it says so much that Telalovic doesn't get more game time considering we need a striker so badly.

Thought our best 3 players were the full backs and Moran.
