I was looking at an autographed Everton programme the other day because Fred Pickering’s autograph was on it. Roy Vernon’s was on also. Every autograph was clear as bell, you could easily name every one.

I have an autographed Rovers ball somewhere. A friend won it in a raffle a few years ago and gave it to me. You had to have a printed sheet with the ball so you could decipher the “ autographs.”

Out of interest just had a look at what he's up to and he is actually playing regularly for Ross County in the Scottish Premier League. So compared to some of our players who have gone on to disappear he's done reasonably well.

That made me curious about another slightly bizarre and ultimately pointless signing from the past, Brad Lyons. Now seems to be a regular for Kilmarnock in the SPL and got a Northern Ireland cap in October.
