Apparently West Brom are utterly skint with more players needing to be sold to balance the books. I'm not sure it's the appealing job it seems at face value, with a big difference between expectations and reality.

The hope is that paying any kind of compensation fee is not an option.

A cavernous difference between Rovers and West Brom in terms of ambitions though.

Yep. Don't dispute Eustice would probably be interested. More pointing out they are probably having trouble selling the club to their first, second, third choice etc, whilst also being limited by not wanting to pay a lot of compensation.

My biggest fear RE Eustice is Waggott scared them off when rubbing his grubby hands together at a big fat compo fee, and now he knows they won't pay that amount, would accept something lower.

If West Brom need to get rid of some players, would we be a potential destination for the likes of Grady Diangana (contract up in summer) rather than Jed Wallace?

I'd hope we would be hovering around West Brom- they have some very good players who have under performed this season. Josh Maja who we tracked for an eternity is single handedly keeping them in the hunt.

As long as it's not "You let us have X and Y and you can have our manager".

Just come up on Sky Sports News that it is understood Hake will not consider any further talks with WBA after their pursuit of Wicky failed. He has interest from other Clubs across Europe.

WBA "considering options" but "not expected" to pursue either John Eustace or Rob Edwards.

Why is West  Brom an appealing job in any sense of the word?...nothing about them.

They're in a pickle financially because they've lost their parachute payments and therefore have to cut outgoings to meet FFP restrictions.

However, they do have:

A relatively new and ambitious owner who wants them to be successful

A competitive Championship budget

A professional structure

None of which we have, so anyone going there would immediately have people behind him who want the club to get somewhere and some degree of determination to do it.

Eustace is doing a fantastic job and I firmly believe anyone else in charge would likely be floating about the relegation spots based on our squad quality.

In matches like last night you can see how poor the squad quality is in attack but the team spirit and organisation is getting us through matches.

I think realistically we will fall away from the playoffs as its asking a lot to operate at 120% for a full season but enjoying the ride at the mo!

If he was to leave for WBA we would be in massive trouble.
