Cannon isnt a Prem player so probably will be loaned out for a hefty loan fee so thats us ruled out.

Its an easy link, Nixon desperate for gossip to justify his patreon. Im sure he said us and Preston along with half the league wanted him last summer. He will hedge his bets on Cannon and many others.

Chrisene permanent would help us cover LB, LWB and CM. 👍🏼👍🏼

How would it help cover central midfield?

Possible Keeper signings

Viktor Johansson from Rotherham, Has a release clause of £1m. Yes they would be alot of interest in him but I do think he is deffo worth trying to get him to sign here.

Time for a bit of honesty - we got away with it yesterday.

We weren't unlucky to win the match because we played well on the day but with the other 3 teams winning we were very lucky not to be relegated. It needed an extraordinary performance from us and a Leicester team curiously having an off day for us to survive.

We won't get away with it next season with this squad, with or without Szmodics. We need a wholesale revamp of the squad - and by that I mean at least 5 or 6 proven Championship performers in their prime, not a sticking plaster approach with ageing players and loanees of dubious quality

Some decent money has to be made available - and it needs to be spent soon with players identfied and secured before pre-season training starts.  No summer holiday for Gregg and his mates - they should be working now to identify targets.

This might be all a fantasy given the way the club is managed but you can but hope. i don't want another season like this season, which has been agony.

Do you think we still have a chance with McGuire? I’d have thought we’d pissed in our chips there?

Ordinarily I would say I suspect he will tell us where to go. However, McGuire is on peanuts ($1,400 / week) at Orlando. He will change his families life by moving here.

Yeah, McGuire would sign for us if he had the opportunity. Take a look at the history of some of our top players recently. They almost all have had good moves

Rovers are being increasingly seen as a stepping stone. It’s a worrying trend for me

Rotherham keeper is a no brainier for me though I think a lot of championship clubs will be thinking the same we need an overhaul of the front 3/4  JCH kenar Roofe, Stansfield Jerry Yates  even Langstaffe  at Notts County i would consider for the cant Rak striker role  Dembele from Brum  Sorba Thomas  O’Dowda from Coventry is out of contract any permutation of those I think  would improve us  I’d even try and get Alan Browne from Nobbers who is also out of contract and if Leeds go up I’d try for Liam Cooper and Burrows from Peterborough for left back if they don’t go up

Not sure Nobbers fans would agree tbh.

Preston have failed to score in 7 out of the last 8 games . That takes some doing

Maybe Lowe should try something different tactical for one

does that matter? Look at stats and clips I have provided. He knows the goal is and look like he will fine physical with this league

good decent list that Josh.

Knibbs at Reading can play anywhere in the forward line. Should be one we looking to sign.

Connelly knows where the goal is.

Johansson is no brainer for me.

Chrisene would be someone I would look to sign either on loan or permanently for me

I think the player would still come here, but I don't think we'll go back in for him. There are far better options out there for us once the summer window opens imo.

Whenever I see Rotherham, Rathbone looks pretty poor. I don’t think he’s Championship standard.  However when he plays against us he’s like prime Roy Keane.

True, plus one good season in the championship and you’re going to get a big move, potentially into the Premier League.

Do you think we’ll spend 7-10m this summer?

Every club, bar Real Madrid is a stepping stone.

There aren’t many positives at Rovers but attracting players who know that we have a history of creating that platform is a good thing.

My list of targets of we can afford the fees and wages

Viktor Johansson

Cedric Kipre or Jake Cooper

Ben Chrisene

Alex Moxatt or Ollie Rathbone

Ryan Gauld

Siriki Dembele

Karamoko Dembele

Arron Connelly or Duncan McGuire

I know some people won't agree with them all and I'm probably dreaming thinking we can get Kipre or Moxatt but both contracts are expiring so might be worth a look depending on their wages

could have the said Langstaff at Notts County before he moved there playing Gateshead or Vardy scoring at Fleetwood before he moved to Leicester or Assante-Thomas at WBA playing for Salford.

You do plenty of moaning at people but I'm yet to you suggest any players to sign and shooting people suggesting signing Chrisene or players scoring goals in good standard of leagues.

No way are we spending £7-10m.

you don't think. they backed Mowbray and JDT in his first season with cash for good players. lets hope they backed Eustace similar.

With that sort of money we could bring in 6 or 7 good quality permanent signings plus a couple of loans. Plus anyone else we sell
