Think there are two points for consideration:

  • Come 31 August, our owners legally may no longer be in a position to continuing further funding for Rovers
  • Consider extracts from the accounts for year ending 30 June 2023:
  1. Strategic report - the directors have prepared cash flow forecasts through to June 2027 and "the company will require significant funding in addition to current facilities available to the company"
  2. Strategic report - the ultimate parent company "has confirmed it will not recall the amount outstanding of £123,052,900, included in creditors due in less than one year, within twelve months from the date of approval of these financial statements".  This therefore ends this calendar year.
  3. Auditors report - "a material uncertainty exists that may cast significant doubt on the company's ability to continue as a going concern".  Relates to the ultimate parent company's ability to remit funds to its overseas subsidiaries.
  4. Bank overdraft facility (at £15million in accounts) expired 10 May 2024 - would think the ongoing Indian court case will have cause some discomfort with the bank.  Banks do not lend money, even if they are secured, if they think there is a serious question mark against a company's solvency.

IMO, there is a chance Rovers will enter insolvency before the calendar year is out especially if the court case goes the 'wrong way' and the Raos decide to cut and run and claw back what they can from, IMO, one sorry mess.

Good luck if that gives you any warmth and reassurance!

It is probably the first time you are right on this one

To be honest, a lot of this will depend on how friendly they are with Modi’s government. If they are allies with him and more important his henchman Shah then they will probably ride it out

If they have any enemies inside the BJP then expect them to be punished. Although, them being Hindu already helps them in that regard

I really do hope the August case goes against them. It is probably our best chance to get rid of them. The BJP don’t play by the normal rules, and neither do Venkys, so here’s hoping there’s a silver lining for the town of Blackburn in all of the crap going on over there

There are people already of the opinion that the court hearing is a formality and they can still fund us anyway.

If the story about us looking at a Cheltenham player are true then I hope it is that Orsi…He’s out of contract this year and looks twice as good as Gallagher.

it`s crawley town and he`s 28,hell of a task for him to step up to the championship at that age imo, unless he`s free i would`nt be investing

His contract has expired, that does not mean Solihull Moors have released him. He might not have wanted to sign a new contract with them. I am not saying it is a good move for the Rovers. The question should be, is he better than what we have already got ?

He was released.

He also had a heart issue in the summer and didn't play till boxing day.

26 year old who's spent the last 5 seasons in non league.

He was at Burton Albion so has played a few times in championship/league one but this is a barrell scraping.

He's an attacking mid as well, so could be Szmodics replacement 😂

It's scraping the barrel If there is any truth to It.

It was me who posted the link but I wouldn't say it's a reliable site for transfer news

But we still have more players to sell in summer that will keep the charade going.

who is worth anything apart from szmodics and  maybe carter

Define 'anything'.

You could sell Hyam, Brittain, JRC, Tronstad, Dolan, Gallagher etc for money to tide you over. The two current gems (15 year old Irish wonderkid CM not withstanding) are Szmodics and Carter though.

you`ll get buttons for them, tronstadt might raise a bit but on the whole you would struggle to offload the rest of them for anything but "open to offers " money

Im not convinced that Carter would generate that much. Hes not really young enough where a Prem team would buy him for the future and he had a poor season punctuated with a bad injury.

I disagree, at 24 he's the perfect age for the next step. But this season was meant to be one where he would further develop but he hasn't, and if anything his value has decreased as he's been out for so long. I think if he can stay injury free he's gone in January so O'Riordan is hopefully ready by then.

Selling those two will keep the Venky ####show on the road a while longer without their input.

eventually there will be no one of value left to sell and thats when the **** will hit the fan imo

I suspect they'll let the club eat itself for another 12 months, hope to stay up then bung a few quid in again somehow on the remit we grow/source cheap another team to sell.

It'll go on and on forever unless something suddenly out the blue tips it over edge.

Sadly, that is what is needed. They haven’t understood about buying players to make profit on by selling them…

Theyve understood the selling of players though.

What are they going to do when we have no players to make them money?

Idiots, refer to paragraph 1…🙄

They have created this mess and still haven’t learnt the most simplest of things about running a football club.

They are too arrogant to take advice from people who know best. How stupid is that?

Just about sums them up and they deserve all the shite they get thrown their way.

No sure what more evidence they really need...

Rudy    1 mill to 5 mill

Rhodes    8 mill to 11 mill

AA     3 mill to 12 mill

TK  500k to 2.5 mill

The examples are all there but the new model seems to be bring through and sell youth whilst investing regular 500k's in other young players.

It will keep the Venky show on the road, till Rovers go into administration and out of business. The best deal would be selling Blackburn Rovers to somebody who's interested in football, and getting some decent strikers alongside Sam Szchmodics.

It's £780,000 - my maths is terrible.

Still, it's a fair chunk of change.

On the bright side, he’s not making much on the goals bonus ☹️

I don’t believe they are that stupid. Just tight.
