It feels like the club is in total crisis but publicly acting like its business as usual.

The last fans forum minutes read like a parellel universe from what the club is actually going through. Waggot especially is peddling complete lies about numerous things and needs to be gone this summer.

What loan on the training ground?

They bought the training ground through a different company.

Go back to page 35 of the plot thickens thread and have a careful read.

The money from the season ticket sales and the £7- £10m mentioned to fund transfers, may just be going elsewhere I think. People seem to want to bury their heads in the sand.

They took a loan out on the training through supposedly a friend in the UK, supposedly the collateral was the training ground but I wouldn't be surprised if there were stipulations about not being able to turn down transfers above a certain amount or being able to sign players until the loan is paid.

He's also been wrong many, many times. Yeah, he's obviously decently connected but taking what a journo says as gospel is going to leave you disappointed.

was he wrong on their 3 stories? nope. time to move.

Football insider has been repeatably wrong on different transfers potential happening

There’s no supposedly about what the collateral is:

How can the budget require a further 25% cut? It doesn't make any sense. Everything else is going up except what we spend.

There is something really amiss at Rovers.

The thing that has gone massively down rather than up is what Venkys put into the club. It's quite a void to fill, which will have been covered by the Wharton sale but they may be thinking 'how do we cover it next season?'. Szmodics won't go for 20 million. Still, I'm not having it that a further 25% cut is the only option. Perhaps a Szmodics sale would undo that. Whatever the reasoning, this entire thing is very much Venkys fault from top to bottom, as is the more than a decade we've been living a nightmare.

Although I do have to say, everybody seems to be taking this 25% cut as gospel, when as far as I can see it has come from one poster here who as far as I remember doesn't have any particular track record of inside info being proven right? Maybe I'm wrong there, but perhaps we shouldn't assume just yet that it's accurate, even though it fits the pattern of recent years.

Might be wrong, but didn't this particular poster tell us of a 20% cut around this time last year before anyone had gotten wind of it and it turned out to be correct?

How many looking to increase commercial revenue and lower ST prices then sell more and create a better match day atmosphere for the fans base instead of cut and cut

If we sign the players Eustace then I think we finish around 12th next season

They should forget about battle of control and wants the best for BRFC.

A bit of a big 'if' there, me thinks.

I admire your optimism, though.

Think he's the perfect type for Eustace, but who's he gonna replace in our team?

Been a thinking about this, and wonder if we may go 5-3-2?

Eg:

———————-Pears

———-Hyam—Carter—Wharton

Brittain————Tronstad—————Gent

—————-Travis——-Buckley

-——————Sigurdsson

———————Gallagher

Need some additions but it seems to fit our current squad reasonably well in terms of who is available and where. Add a mobile striker, new keeper, and it’s a start.

Wharton is out for the season.

When the most optimistic poster on the board has us down for 12th place if we are able to sign the players Eustace wants, which as you say is a big if, I think most of the rest of us can agree we're down for another relegation fight.

If the aim is to finish in 12th place then fans will rightly ask what is the point of going to watch and support the team. It's not just about money, the lack of ambition from the top is killing the club. Ipswich have gone from League One to the Premier League in 2 seasons with essentially the same squad that came out of League One having cost just £10 million.

Tbf, that's not the club's stated aim as far as I know, that's Chaddy's optimism. The club are probably less ambitious than that, and are merely targetting survival (or less, if you believe the conspiracy theories).

Gregg was removed as a cost cutting exercise. Budgets have apparently been reduced by 25% across the board for the coming season.

I would expect several other backroom coaches, data analysts, recruitment etc to be announced as leaving soon.

Gregg was removed because Waggott didn't like him and didn't rate him. It may help towards cost cutting but it definitely wasn't the main reason.

And think about it further, his payoff and NDA probably cost money. So no savings at all really

Ok, like I said, he's also been wrong. A lot. We won't hire a DoF.

Did Waggott have the power to remove him or did Venkys allow to remove him?

I think we will hire new DoF and rename the role as technical director.

Lets see what happens

(as stated in the joint statement between WATR and the club),

SWAG and the club have made a lot of statements over the years which have proved to be economical with the truth.

I was going to phone the club and recommend you for the DOF role but they probably couldn’t afford to match your wages Chaddy.

I'm pretty sure Chaddy would do it for minimum wage.

So yeh, probably too much for the budget.
