Believe there was a medical for the Nantes lad today. Probably go into the u21s. Junior Nsangou going to Albecete in LaLiga2 I believe too.

This Japanese link is an interesting one, he is theoretically in his peak and seems to be a late bloomer as he hadnt scored many until recently. He would be coming from a questionable standard in a different continent so it would be a big ask. Hopefully would be a creative and successful potential addition.

We need to get deals done now though, we are long past the point of talking. Games tick by before the window closes ahead of a season where every point against relegation will likely matter. Mere gossip is nothing, is he actually coming and is it going to be soon? Even if he comes, we need far more than just him.

Also, in what circumstances is he coming in? If as is probably most likely, he is the main replacement for Szmodics in otherwise a summer of frees and loans, then that is a concern.

Can't rule Ohashi out and at the same time claim Szmodics is worth £20m in a PL move. But it sure sounds like a direct replacement and a downgrade/big gamble if so. We might bring a winger in as well with pace but think we're going to put a lot of faith into Tyjon being the next big thing and more money into the coffers after losing Finneran. Reinvesting 10% sounds plausible to me.

Similar to Boyomo, left our academy in 2021 and signed for Albacete. 
 

They sold him in July 2023 for €1.3m to Valladolid.

If Tyjon is the next big thing for us this season, we won't make much money off him. He's too young, we don't have him on full professional terms yet. If he becomes a regular or semi-regular fixture for us this season, chances are he's off on cut-price terms by the summer. Think Ash Phillips before he signed that full pro deal with the 2.5 mill release clause, which was seen as a win for the club because we'd have got less for him without it.

There was interest from bigger clubs so I'm sure they have set out a plan for him. Not saying this season will be the one but think he'll be given chances in the League Cup first, and if he takes his chances, then he'll be brought on from the bench in the league as well. Then who knows. Shouldn't be in any more rush in twelve months than now, if everything is according to plan. Grasping at straws here...
