I’ve been arguing with Waggott since Jan 2020 about getting prices out in April at latest.

I wasn’t specifically whinging for me, but for others.

I’ve already made the decision not to buy because of the tokenism nature of the price reduction, after YEARS of arguing for cheaper pricing in line with the demographics of the area.

If detail of the ‘16 game package’ mentioned come out soon then I might consider that, mind.

In fairness, whilst that would work in a season where we are firmly mid-table at that point, you can't really release season ticket prices when you don't know what league we'll be in. However, they should be ready to roll out within a week of the season finishing at the very most, and there's no real excuse for anything else.

They released them at the end of March last season when we could have ended up in either one of two divisions.

Loads of clubs get them on sale without knowing what league they will be the following year I think that's just a cop out excuse.

Gotta say, Blackpool's early bird prices are a joke compared to everyone else's, when you consider the league they're in too. Our ongoing prices are a bit of a joke compared to everyone else's when you consider the shambles we're currently in and the season we likely face.

Bolton, Burnley, Sheff Wed, Forest, Stoke just off the top of my head but plenty more.

The vast majority of clubs who could change divisions still had them on sale between February and April. But yes even the days after Leicester would at least have been something to grab on to, but no chuck them on sale in late May instead.

Did they? I don't remember. It's a bit different when you could be going up a league though to a financially rich league. We could just charge our Championship prices, knowing it will entice people in to buy what might be Prem tickets, and that if we do go up we'll have so much money it won't matter to the club what we charge.

Conversely, I'd be pissed if I bought tickets at Championship prices expecting Championship football and they ended up being League One tickets. I don't think it's a cop out, I think it makes sense. What doesn't make sense is what we charge in general given the local economy and the soul-crushing nature of having been a fan since Venkys showed up. Low attendances are inevitable.

Side note, I don't really get why people get so annoyed they're released in May...does it really matter whether you buy it in March, April or May? It's still well before the season starts.

If it doesn’t make a difference why do 95% of clubs get them on sale between February and April? 

Yes, cash flow (obviously no issues with that here, we’ve got the AW money to pay HMRC with).

But it also keeps fans engaged and in the tent when in ‘football mode’, not apologetically putting them on sale for a few weeks in almost June when folk are in holiday mode before bumping up prices. Just marketing 101.

You can imo. You set the price early and get the money in. The delay in release is partly what drives prices up, as you make the club more desperate for money and you lessen the window for people to take up the offer.

Plenty of clubs had their prices out in April, and there’s no reason we couldn’t.

Or if it was that much of an issue, you have two prices ready and release them Monday morning after the last game, rather than waiting 10 days.

Just SIX Home wins..the Football Turgid at times.

Surely this will be a major factor in Season Ticket purchase..I have never known the Blackburn Public to throw good money after bad.

Bolton EB finished 22nd April and North End is 5th June, both well before fixtures announced and tv dates released. Blackpool is 30th June and Wigan 28th June, after fixtures but probably before Sky dates.

Burnley's cheapest was in an 'Accessible Corner L0 L1' so not sure how many available there, more generally £387 was the cheapest. They would appear to have sold out.

All clubs unlikely to have early birds before Sky dates so that is not an argument for people to complain, although when Sky release date is known, that might inform clubs on choosing dates for next year.

Our prices are reasonably competitive considering the level of football (as opposed to perceived possible standard of football). The EB is cheaper than last year.

Ultimately the fans are shafted by SKY.

The £10 and £2 additional costs are for season ticket sales only, this does not apply to individual tickets throughout season either by phone or online.

It really is incredible to me that after the Digital Day fiasco Rovers are still doing what appears to be their utmost to annoy people. I'm no expert but if I was in charge on merchandising I would want as much footfall in the shop/ticket office as possible. I often go in person to buy tickets for away games and quite often have come away with something I didn't intend going in for, an impulse buy. The £10 charge for renewing in person is immoral in my view and will only achieve further angst amongst supporters who want to do it this way. The Harrogate game was an example of this when tickets could only be bought online providing a couple of criteria were met. I really tried to comply but the website wouldn't allow me to link mine and my granddaughters accounts to buy them both. I couldn't but hers separately because of her age. After a frustrating time trying to do it I was really on the verge of saying f*** it and just not going. I eventually rang the ticket office and they got one of their staff to arrange it. Rovers simply have to understand that some fans haven't got the wherewithal or equipment to buy the digitally.

It's a really simple solution and one that has worked for many, many years. Give people a choice without fleecing them instead of discriminating against them.

I’ve tried to be as fair as possible. For example Bolton early bird renewal was even cheaper but I’ve looked at it as a new customer.

At Burnley the entire Jimmy Mcilroy stand Lower (behind the goals opposite the away end) is £352 as well as the ‘accessible corner’.

I’d say our early bird is competitive. The phase 2 and 3 prices are too high, especially the Riverside, which should be £300 standard in phase 1 and be £20 max all match days.

It's just the Rovers nudge unit steering people towards total digi tickets they'll try to ramp it up more as time goes on.

I think they've done ok with most of the ST stuff considering we expected nothing but a price rise however the 10 quid charge is a disgrace.

As iv'e said pop into the shop to buy something and renew/buy whilst you're there being served by a member of staff already on the payroll and be charged £10 more for the nerve of just being an actual physical customer in the flesh.

Disgusting, as are the cretins who implement these corporate scams.

Yep incentivise don't penalise that just gets peoples back up and gives the impression of detached corporate greed and bullying.

Iv'e never heard of anything so stupid to be honest as to try and fleece someone for buying over the counter, a counter which is already open and staffed.
