my BRFCS, twitter and facebook accounts were hacked cos people posting my real name. Maybe you seriously think about posting people names again?

For absolute clarity on this - because its important - you all have the opportunity to have two-factor authentication on your BRFCS account meaning nobody can log in unless you approve it on another device i.e. your phone. If you don't know how to do this post in the 'ask a question' section. There's very little we (BRFCS) can do about people knowing your real name if you post on BRFCS a link your own twitter account which is in your real name.

Just for clarity JB, I never blamed you or the site for the hacked or people knowing my real name(that's why we have using names. Very few people know my real name on here and my plan was to keep it that way.

I know, I'm trying to ensure everyone has two-factor authentication on their accounts!

Lets see how many they have sold in a few weeks time, I won't be renewing unless there is some signings or statements about investment before the early bird window is closed.

Proper supporter.

exactly. I can make every home league game. I think more than easily affordable the cost accepting others can't afford it or can make every game down to their circumstances or

I got my season ticket today , cheaper at the moment. I said to a friend  nearing the end of last season, whatever happens I will still be watching rovers next season.

Funny how when its a figure the Club wants people to hear about - 1200 in the first day and 2000 after the first weekend - they are quite happy to broadcast it to all and sundry,

Yet usually what we get is all sorts of mixed messages, confusion and silence about sales totals.

I'd suggest this is because they can't wait to try and take advantage of numbers that they think reflect positively on them, whereas the usual way of things is they are silent on such things because the figures are nothing at all to be proud of. This is likely to be the case come window closing day so I expect to see these sales updates shudder to a halt once the initial surge has passed.

We will once again end up well under 10,000 sales yet enough for slippery Steve to massage some positives out of, yet miles behind rival clubs of the same / lower leagues.

They are cheaper at the moment for a limited time, got mine it works out a lot cheaper than paying at the gate.

The players need a decent crowd to get behind them, but you are right more signings needed over the summer, especially in attack. We also have a few under 21 players knocking on the first team door. I would give the youngters the chance to shine in cup games. I think Blackburn Rovers main priority is trying for a top 6 finish.

Blackburn Rovers attendance last season on average was 12 - 14 thousand,  a majority of those paid at the gate.

Exactly, that is a disgrace.

The club needs to put some effort in to attract more fans.

12,000 should be the bare minimum of season ticket sales. If they can't manage that then they're doing something wrong.

Our main priority is the main priority of the people that run us. So that is solely to cut back as much as is possible with potential success merely collateral damage to them in achieving it.

I dont get how you have come to that conclusion from my post. I was saying that Venkys are focused only on cutting costs, in no way with any focus towards on field success which they arent arsed about.

Hopefully @goozburger will be once again doing his excellent work on keeping up with the season ticket count.

I'd trust his estimate over any official numbers published.

That can’t be right surely.

I must admit I dont know any figures. But if the average home attendance was 12-14k and I’m guessing the average away attendance was 2k. That’s between 10-12k home fans average. How many season tickets did we sell last season? 8-10k 🤷‍♂️. If any of those figures are vaguely right that’s almost all of the fans attending having season tickets.

In which case it’s vitally important to get season ticket sales right.

No he’s miles off. 9,300 ST holders last season, between 2k (night game) and 3/4k (for a Saturday) walk-ons.

For decades now this club has seen ST holders make up the vast majority of the crowd and that won’t change, so yes, as you say ST sales are vitally important.

The official figure over the season was a few dozen under 13k home fans average and an average of c2200 visiting fans.

I've always suggested Waggot is happy with 4k home walk ons over a season because that brings more income than an extra 4k ST holders and no walk ons.

Hence another reason he'll never do big discounts on STs.
