I said the first goal might get Scotland to try and attack, but as it turned out, no. Maybe now. Appreciate it might open them up a bit, but at this rate they're going to get smashed anyway.

What kind of formation is Clarke playing? The players look confused and uncomfortable with it. It looks like a 5-4-1 but they are so narrow the Germans are playing down the sides. Poor from Clarke.

Penalties used to be given for serious foul play. That wasn’t

It could hardly have been more blatant it’s a two footed challenge

He was just clearing his lines with his defence under pressure. Idiot German shouldn't have got in the way.

Seriously, Jim's right.

I don't get Clarke's mentality here. The players are all over the place and clearly not comfortable with his system and tactics. I can understand keeping it tight but these players just don't look up to playing that way. There is no out ball and because they are so deep and compact there is no press. The Germans haven't got out of third gear yet.

In fairness to her both times they went to her she gave a decisive answer unlike the Premier league coverage where they um and ah and agree with whatever decision is given.

He went straight over the top of the ball, two footed…. It’s shocking it needed VAR tbh given where the referee was stood.

Excellent use of VAR there. It was a clear and obvious error by the referee and once the penalty is given the red card has to follow. I'm glad after the way Porteous celebrated in front of the Blackburn End last season. He might as well done home now.

Haha, it was a desperate two-footed flying tackle that hit Gundogans ancle. Lucky that Gundogan is not injured

She isn't actually the VAR, she is working for TV. She was very succinct in her description though.
