Taxi for Rob Edwards at Luton. Eustace will probably be in the frame again ?

Looking at the betting, he isn't.

Its Wycombe Matt Bloomfield, Steve Cooper and Neil Harris in the top 3 in the betting on Sky Bet

I haven't heard much about the bus/coach this season, have we still got it ?

They didn't keep up with the lease payments so now the team have to make their way to away matches on an old Hyndburn Circular that was written off in the late 90s.

Interesting to compare to Preston's Osmajic after he bit Owen Beck. Despite both admitting their guilt Osmajic got an 8 game ban and was fined £15,000 whereas Sainz only has a 6 game ban and fined £12,000.

I also find it quite ridiculous that in similar fashion to Osmajic he has been allowed to play in 4 games since the incident in which Norwich have won 3 and gone unbeaten.

Josh Maja out at West Brom for 12 weeks for surgery on a lower leg injury. Dikes out for the foreseeable with a second hamstring injury too.

Not going to be much left if they also need to sell to balance the books.

League is starting to take shape, top 4 battling it out for autos and at least 2 of the playoff spots tied up. Then I see it from us down to Norwich in 11th fighting for the remaining two spots, that’s the teams I will start looking for results from. Don’t think anyone will particularly miss any of the bottom 5 to drop

There is usually always one team that sneaks in with a run in the 2nd half of the season.

Last season it was Norwich, who were on 35 points in 13th at this stage, but ended up finishing 6th on 73.

5th place West Brom on 42 is identical to our current 5th place 42 - they finished with 75 points.

The year before it was Coventry, who finished 5th on 70 points but were 14th at this stage of the season.

We were 3rd on the same points we're on now (42), and managed to miss out as always.

Either way, 42 points at this stage is a very strong position to be in. Well done John Eustace and the team.

I think the two outsiders to watch out for are Sheffield Wednesday and QPR. I'm hoping that the mad owner at Sheffield causes them to derail as they've got a good manager. QPR have been upwardly mobile for the last couple of months.

Obviously the two biggest threats both in terms of the table and on paper are WBA and Boro, we can afford for one of them to finish above us but not both. Hopefully WBA botch their new manager appointment and slip.

I'm not too worried about Watford and Bristol as both seem to be very inconsistent. Watford generally good at home (though have lost their last two) but pretty weary away.

Usually 1 team runs away with top spot, that's not the case this season but I do agree with @Bbrovers2288 that there are only 2 playoff spots up for grabs. A win against either Hull or Millwall would have given Rovers a nice buffer, alas it wasn't to be.

January's remaining fixtures all look winnable but Bristol City away last year was a nightmare, and Rovers never seem to be able to beat PNE.

I really do hope that Eustace is allowed to bring in a decent player or two.

Fear it may be Norwich again

What's interesting about the play off hopefuls below us currently is only WBA have a defensive record rivalling ours. But right down to Swansea they have all scored more.

It's glaringly obvious who needs to strengthen where, the fear as always under this regime is that the others will do that, and we'll piss another season away....
