Train to Watford used to be the regular travel mode but very few stop at Watford Junction now and if you then travelling back out from London, they may as well travel down in the comfort of Waggott’s super bus. I’m guessing that the £10 allowance is an embellishment rather than a fact, if the latter, that really would be the end game of a once proud club.

With the early kick-off  Rovers should have stayed in a hotel the night before. If they travelled down by coach on the morning of the match it's a pretty poor show and not the ideal way to prepare for a match

There's about 6 trains a day from and to Preston that stop at Watford Junction, which seems to me to be the most relaxing way for the players to travel.

I would imagine they did stay in hotel in the Watford area the night before the game

I couldn’t agree more Jim but I would be absolutely amazed if that wasn’t the case. There is no way an EFL team does a 200+ mile journey on the morning for a 12:30 kick off, not even one with Waggott / Pasha at the helm.

I didn’t check the train schedules but as a very frequent traveller on the Preston / London route, it is very rare that the train stops at Watford Junction, unlike the old days where it was always last stop before Euston.

Most of the trains that go the "slow" way via Birmingham stop at Watford Junction, but they take over 3 hours from Preston. The fast trains from Preston now don't stop at Watford, so you would have to go into Euston and come back. You could probably do that in a bit under 3 hours but with more hassle. Given the need to get everyone to Preston in the first place I doubt there is much in it between train and coach in this case.

A change at Milton Keynes to Watford is quicker than going into Euston and back out, thats what ive have done the last few seasons for Watford.

That will work from Manchester Mark, but not from Preston as the fast trains don't stop there.

Almost implying that defenders should have hand behind their back when defending in goal area.

The point I was making was that you put your hands up in the air then you give the ref an opportunity to give a pen. I'm not saying I think it was a pen, I think it was extremely harsh...but I can understand why it was given in the spare of the moment. If hands are not in the air then there's no chance of a pen...and yes, defenders do tend to try and defend with their hands behind their back.

Appreciate Hedges was caught off guard by the ball rebounding off a Watford player, but again, just don't give the ref an opportunity, especially at this level where the officials are so very poor.

I watched   the game on Rovers TV and one of the commentators, Warren Lucy, was absolutely convinced that the penalty decision was recommended by the 4 th official who was bullied into it by Watfords manager remonstrating  like a mad man.
