Nope, his finishing ability is on par with Gallagher.

He's aggressive and decent in the air, but he's shite in front of goal - genuinely not much difference in playing Maktar.

There is. McBurnie scored 22 goals in a Championship season, and 13 in another.

Gueye looks like he will struggle to get 5.

if true, that is a tough one to take and we needed him for that Burnley game

McBurnie gives us goals if we sign him which doesn't we will sign but I am pleased we are looking at him. Exactly what we need and someone has said to us, he is possibly available.

I doubt we are even seriously considering him. All that matters is whether he is a Rovers player come February and we all know the answer.

Gueye was anonymous yesterday and offers no goal threat. But either way, there clearly IS a considerable difference in McBurnie and Gueye which was the post I was questioning.

Who knows but Nixon got his stories spot on in the summer. Why not now? He says we have an interest which I am pleased with

I believe Chaddy is suggesting if we’ve asked too much of Travis we’ve also asked too much of Hyam and Tronstad 🤔

Thats my translation anyways 😁

Correctly.

If @Tyrone Shoelacespoint is Travis has overplayed and been asked to do so then surely that the point of Tronstad and Hyam then?

At some point Hyam and Tronstad need resting for a game perhaps but its when

I don’t think they cover the yards that Travis does, they aren’t involved as much as he is in the needling of opponents. That always comes with a price tag.

And this is where the inadequacy of the squad overall comes into play and rivals pull ahead.

Not possible to go 46 games without losing much of your squad along the way.

This is why we start to drop in form Christmas onwards.

Majority of his goals scored before a head injury in the summer.  12 in 12 (which may well have been a purple patch) before the injury .  7 in 20 afterwards

However, He is out of contract in January, so he is Waggotts favourite price

Free with a head injury - that's Waggot's dream negotiation

Could be.

Or, it could be we are actually interested in him. We’ve scouted him, put him in front of the manager who’s gone “YES!”, then we’ll approach his club in January and ask if they’ll give us him on loan and pay his wages for us. They tell us to piss off, he signs for a club ran by proper management, we buy another German sixth tier striker who’s miles off the pace, our manager is furious he thought he was getting proper players and questions the clubs ambitions, to which point our CEO says his target is to stay in the league despite being 5th in January.

I’ve seen all this before, which is why when it all plans out in the same way it always does I’ll be annoyed at our fans.

Don't forget that we'll fuck up the paperwork at the last minute as well and then claim that it's all someone else's fault.
