Our owners are wealthy enough that paying double shouldn't really matter. With their level of net worth, whether it's 20m, 40m, or 80m it shouldn't be a hindrance to sending money over. 

So, I'm fine with the myth being perpetuated, because it really shouldn't stop the hard questions being asked.

Win the next couple - "Look how well we're doing - no need to spend".

Lose the next couple - "We've slipped out of realistic contention now - no point going overboard".

You're probably right but for many supporters it seems the incorrect notion that they have to physically stick their hands in their pockets to match any money sent over is a valid reason for them to not send any in the first place.

Its actually comical that such crowd appeasing articles come out in support of these charlatans.

 

firstly when will fans realize not a cent sent over till now actually belong to venkys. its credit facility from SBI , hence the whole court case of misuse of investment. 

court simply asking you to put hard cash as collateral so as to ensure you don't misuse the facility from SBI. So is this double expenditures ? Spin doctors at work....

They didn't spend much more than us in summer so presumably set aside some of the Clarke cash. If only we'd made a few quid on outgoings that we could reinvest.....oh hang on a minute 🙄

This really makes no sense Chaddy. It’s like saying why would we sign Jude Bellingham and then loan out John Buckley. I’m not having a go but I don’t think you’ve thought through the statement.

If we can sign a better player than we currently have then it shouldn’t matter if they are the same age as one of our existing squad. It’s about improving the team. If we can bring someone in who is better than what we have then surely we should do it.

From my perspective, I’d rather never see a “venky penny” at Ewood again.

To me it just would take a serious amount of mental gymnastics and lack of memory to expect anything but the minimum from them, and at the time of writing they’ve got a fantastic court based excuse (constantly being kicked down the road)

I expect us to invest something this month, hopefully on something that has resale / investment value and not more 30+ year olds and/or loans, but this notion that we’ve got 40m to “reinvest” when we’ve traditionally lost money every season (horrendous turnover to wage ratio) is not realistic. 

Judging by a lot of the posts I’ve read here this month, I think many people have forgotten that the season before we’d managed to start selling some of our assets for decent money, we used a loop hole to sell the training ground…

If we weren't in and around the playoffs right now, I would say re start the protests. But that now would be a disservice to Eustace and the team, to disrupt their efforts at this moment in time. 

If they don't want to invest now, and try and get this squad into the playoffs, then fine. But at the end of the season, if it's not Venkys out in whatever way necessary, then I'm afraid we deserve to never go up. For how long are we going to allow these tricksters and scammers to run this club, irrespective of how much money they have invested.. this club and its fans deserve better!

I was thinking someone like Tom Bradshaw at Millwall would be right up our street at the minute.

Championship experience, not really played much this season, and most importantly, cheap.
