How is it deemed acceptable that we still havnt brought an attacker in? We're heading into the 3rd week of the window with 2 more games coming up and still looking at the same attacking line...Usless!

We should have had our ducks in a row as soon as we knew Ohashi was going to be out for a while. No excuses. They just couldn’t care less.

If WBA want to keep a steady position in this division that falls somewhere between 7th and mid-table then TM is probably a shrewd appointment. If their plan is to get promoted then probably less so. Depends what their aim and general situation as a club is. Mowbray did some good here and he did some bad, as any manager would after 5 years or so. Ultimately he simply stayed on past his best before date and we didn't have anyone in a higher position to make the correct call to move on and try something new.

Anyway, as far as transfers are concerned, if we fail to bring in a decent attacker in this window then Eustace will deserve manager of the season if we finish in the top half.

Best club on that list, good relationship with Liverpool in terms of loans, Beck here already, he'll get plenty of minutes as we desperately need a striker. I'd say if we were serious about it we'd be in a very strong position to win it.

But like you said, probably not true.

Also isn't his dad Neil Danns?

He's 19 and has played like 3 times for Liverpool - he needs a run of games so they'll definitely be loaning him out.

A loan fits our business model of not committing serious spending to any assets too, so I'm sure we're well in the hunt. It'll probably be up to Danns to choose where he goes.

Agree with most of that but if we'd have gone up in his mind he could have thought the club would go for a bigger name plus if we had gone straight back down his position could have been under threat. Sailing along nicely in the championship would have suited him

If we'd have gone up you'd have thought he'd have had a substantial bonus built into his contract, along with wage increase. It would also have improved his ability to negotiate elsewhere by having another promotion on his CV. The argument it was financially better for him for us to stay in the second tier never made sense.

If we could get Danns on loan, a loan or cheap left winger(must be decent though, obviously) and put all our resources into getting Asgard then I would be delighted. He is a top player now with plenty of potential.
Icing on the cake would be to sell Dolan and get Assanti. £300k would also secure Pinder Binson from Reading who is supposed to be a real top class prospect.

Our needs for a striker have been known for many months. The head of football operations has known for months. Here we are middle of Jan and I do wonder what he’s been doing.

Hoping something as cheap as possible drops into his lap at the last minute.

I don't think we'll have anything sorted before we play Preston, we'll be scrapping around on deadline day.

Who is deeming it acceptable?

Because we certainly ain't.

Venkys ain't as they have no idea what a transfer window is.

Rudy & Co? The Facebook lot?

Sell Dolan for any amount and put towards Aasgard

given Danns lineage and our success with Liverpool loans we should be the top choice for the boy

Personally I'd just use the Gallagher and Ennis money....... then spend the Szmodics..... Raya and Wharton money on some others that are even better...........

Oh Venky's.... of course. Forgot.
