Remember when they blamed Mowbray, JDT, Broughton, Silvester, FFP and various other things for a lack of investment and new signings?

Well now we are seeing clearly what the reality is. That was all rubbish designed to protect the architects of our misery.

Slowly but surely Eustace is realising the truth. They'll have been feeding him rubbish over the last few months about doing stuff in January, he will be realising now that it isn't happening and they aren't going to back him.

Anyone want to offer any guesses what the excuse will be this time around? Surely even the most deluded Rovers fan out there wouldn't accept 'admin error' again so soon. I think I'll go with the QPR game that week shortly after the Preston match leaves just not enough time to get it done.

I really hope nobody is still falling for this con but I'm sure there will be a few lapping it up and feeling sorry for themselves about our 'injury crisis' - almost as though heading into a 50 game season with a small squad after signing people in the summer unaccustomed or no longer able to keep up to the demands of the Championship has nothing to do with it.

To be fair Mowbray spaffed money (£12m on Gallagher and Brereton Diaz), which is why I seriously dislike him.

JDT and Eustace have had peanuts.

It beggers belief why we are so quick to offload players before bringing any in. I said before we could shoot ourselves in the foot by sending duru out on loan. And now costello and Britain look potentially injured. And batth. Mcfadzean out the door also. And also Garrett looks on his way out. This angers me the most, a lot of people say for their players progression, sod that! First team comes first, if there needed as potential back up they shouldn’t be allowed to leave until players come in. Every day it feels someone’s leaving on loan when every day we look short in numbers. Baffled! The loss was almost a certainty for me personally imo, it’s the injuries and lack of thought about letting players go before getting anyone in that’s really annoyed me after the injuries racking up.

We're clearly operating on a L1 budget.

Other teams have bloated squads. We have to offload Academy graduates / young players like O'Riordan / Markanday (who will not be on big money) to find any leeway in the wage budget.

Absolutely bonkers.

Im hoping any outgoing deals are put on hold now given the injuries picked up tonight. Fadz is surely needed now. O’Riordon and Garrett might find themselves starting on Saturday if they stick around long enough!

Mowbray takes some of the blame.  He wasted 5 years of feeding bullshit about building slowly so he could line his pockets whilst wasting millions.  Bowyer u could forgive because he wasn't manager material at least he produced a few gems. Jdt was in this job with the best intentions about getting rovers promoted.  Lambert was sold a lie. Then there was the rest

I actually despise him. I'm glad he's getting better but as a manager he was despicable

True, I was specifically referencing his final season when we were in the best position we've been in since relegation from the PL, 5 points off top of the league in late January, and we oversaw a frankly ridiculous recruitment policy which saw us sign a collection of players who contributed F.A. to the team in the second half of the season.

There were implausible suggestions at the time that the owners had made money available for a promotion push but that for some inexplicable nonsensical reason Mowbray had declined to use it and instead signed Markanday and Hedges.

It didn't make any sense because it wasn't true, just like Ian Silvester suddenly forgetting how to register a new signing wasn't true either. All lies and nonsense made up by certain people behind the scenes desperate for the anger and blame for what goes on to be focused on people other than the pondlife in India and their lackeys.

I'm almost excited to see what they come out with this time. They've set a high benchmark after 2023 O'Brien and 2024 McGuire, it's going to take some topping. Maybe they'll just give up on pretending to sign decent players and just batten down the hatches until it blows over and hope Eustace doesn't walk.

The benchmark was pretty high after O'Brien but the McGuire one is stratospheric in how fucking ridiculous it is.

Anyone who believes their story about that is a complete fucking moron.

At every club since Rovers he's gone on about success.

Here it was about reigning in expectations and a journey. That's what bothered me about him the most.

At least he won't be playing at the weekend. Diabolical performance.

Surely one of the Under 21s couldn't be worse than JRC? He looks like Sunday morning pub player - ridiculously slow and unathletic. Hasn't a clue how to go up for a header as shown yet again with their first goal.

He had to deal with real owners at other clubs but here it was just a big jolly up

Even that spaffing could have resulted in a large profit on BBD and probably only a slight loss on Gallagher if contracts were protected and they were sold at the right time. Goes to show you have to invest (and not dick up the sale point and contracts).

‘What am I meant to do?’ Says the Rovers ‘journalist’.

To be fair to the lad, I don’t remember Rich Sharpe pulling up trees as the ‘Rovers Reporter’ whilst at the LT and he was a Rovers fan.

He’s from Sheffield and not a Rovers fan, he’s hardly going to put his job on the line for an exclusive with Steve Waggott.

I’m sure the biscuits are nice though…

There you go for any Venkys hovering around these pages. Look what we used to be like. Look at our club in all it's brilliance and look at the man you could of followed true to his and our dream. Spend some money and we'll fill Ewood Park for you

I feel that Jack walker song needs to return I remember singing that alot back then with my pals.
