I actually despise him. I'm glad he's getting better but as a manager he was despicable

Despicable? Get a grip.

Mowbray takes some of the blame.  He wasted 5 years of feeding bullshit about building slowly so he could line his pockets whilst wasting millions.  Bowyer u could forgive because he wasn't manager material at least he produced a few gems. Jdt was in this job with the best intentions about getting rovers promoted.  Lambert was sold a lie. Then there was the rest

Nothing makes more sense for a man intent on lining his pockets (like all managers) than purposely avoiding a considerable pay rise, bonus and likely new contract upon promotion.

The blame is solely with the owners.

It’s not a top 6 squad, but bearing in mind we started the game with Sonny and Travis and finished it without Brittain and Batth (Arguably our best 4 players this season) we were the better team tonight. We had no luck in front of goal, whatsoever and they did.

We haven’t been played off the park tonight, far from it.

Its not down to luck that we didnt put the chances away. Its a lack of quality due to a lack of investment. Our attack that started has 6 goals between 4 players all season.

We havent scored in 5 of our last 8 league games.

The owners get a big portion of the blame but Mowbray knew he wasn't under pressure and milked it

On a night when we lose and our small fragile squad continues to disintegrate, you choose to focus partially on someone who managed us seasons ago, describing him as "despicable" and justifying it with illogical nonsense. The owners deserve all of the blame.

I was replying to someone who mentioned previous managers. I agree venkys take the majority of the blame but Mowbray set us back with his lack of desire to push on

What does that even mean? In his last season we sold a player he signed for £3m for £15m, they didnt reinvest anything, they wouldnt give him a reasonable budget in January or even allow him to trade to get a budget, and then we ran out of steam.

And then that lack of funding has continued since.

He left us in a better position than he took us over in. Im sure he did want promotion and a pay rise, he just wasnt capable.

I’m sorry JRC is one of the worst footballers I’ve ever seen play for us. He is absolutely fucking awful. Can’t run, can’t pass, can’t shoot, can’t defend.

It's not what I was getting at. I was replying to another post about Forshaw being a JE choice. So just making the point that there were options.

Three positives

Sanderson and Farshaw gave us two bodies who didn't disgrace themselves when they came on.

Didn't see any game changing pace from Thomas-Asante who wouldn't get into a team ahead of either Ohashi or Gueye.

We didn't spend 7m on Simms

If if was Eustace I'd be telling Waggott, king rat and Rudy, whoever the fuck needs to know - get me at least 2 decent new players in the building by Saturday or you'll be looking for a new manager.

He'd walk away with pride and a good reputation, into another job. Nobody should have to put up with it.

That other job only happens if his new employers are prepared to pay the compensation due under his contract.

He doesn't have a huge contract, also there's a good chance the club have breached something within his contract so he'd probably be sound to walk away without issue.....

I very much doubt the club have breached any term of his contract - we had the same argument being put forward on here with JDT and it didn't work for him.

Funnily enough though, the moment he called out the shadow man publicly he was out the door within a week.

I don’t completely disagree but BTA did score a game-changing goal.

Are they really positives?

Both their strikers scored and they won 2-0.

Coventry were happy to let Forshaw pass it sideways and jog in our own half. Didn't offer much passing forwards, but didn't look totally lost either. But as soon as they tried to counter he was way off it and was easily passed. Tronstad and Travis are by no means quick either but a lot more agile.

Too early to tell with Sanderson, thought he passed it backwards and sideways too much when we were two down but they were sitting back so not that many options seeing as we had a couple of injured players on there as well.

Unfortunately for me then one that has looked the most out of pace (except for Forshaw) is Harry Leonard. Hoping he can get a lot somewhere and that we bring in a good player in his position.

Leonard deffo needs a loan. He isnt ready and Im not sure he ever will....  think League one would be perfect like George Hirst at Ipswich two seasons ago.

Looks like a little boy lost in a man’s game. Like Duberry. He won’t be going anywhere though. Beggars can’t be choosers

I presume we'll see some names possibly leaked today just to keep the fans at bay...None of which will come to light.

Usually I get over things the morning after but I've still woke up fuming still. Not at the result but to our seniors at the top.

ACD has potential but is extremely raw. Poor first touch, passing and lacks awareness.

Waggot youre an utter disgrace to this football club. Come out and tell the truth you liar. If you were a proper chairman caring about the club you should back the manager.

The target needs to be Pasha. He is the reason the window has been like it has, as he is making the financial decisions.

48 hours to get 2 in minimum

I called this 2 weeks ago and unfortunately it is coming true

getting players in early was essential for our squad (it may not apply to other teams in champ but it certainly did for us)

This argument about ‘waiting’ doesn’t wash with me to be honest. The recruitment teams job from sept was to identify targets they should know who’s ready and available and when. Granted one player might be held on to but our priority positions haven’t been identified

Supporters deserve better and as for the communication - I really don’t know how journalism works but surely anybody speaking with JE can ask the question

Have you spoke with Rudy or Steve and been given assurances that there will be bodies coming in?

speaking with them directly Steve will do an exclusive 45min interview at his own leisure he will cite injuries as the main issue and needing to cover those positions which was out of his control. He won’t directly answer any hard firing questions. His name should be on banners he should be the one hounded out
