That isn't correct. Chief Operations Officer comes below Chief Executive Officer in the hierarchy. Rovers' own website lists him below Waggott in the structure. He might 'run the show' but he is beneath Waggott in title, and Waggott takes ultimate responsibility and accountability for the performance of the organisation. Technically he reports to Waggott.

On what planet could promoting Gestede to such a role be justified or make any sense given he has only worked at the club for a little over 6 months and in a role totally different to CEO?

A venky planet.

Already seen a few moans on Facebook today by the clueless being critical towards Eustace ,and suggesting the poor forn  isn't only down to injuries but due to Eustace not being flexible enough with his tactics

Then multiple other posts blaming ffp/our  small crowds for us not spending any money in the market

Some are bullshit accounts, but sadly some are real people.

He was appointed as Rovers Chief Operations Officer. He runs the show now officially at Rovers. If Waggott does leave would we even replace him or just promote Gestede to Waggott role?

I'm sure the rumour (on here i think 🤔) was that Gestede was brought in to "learn the ropes" and eventually take over Waggotts role.

Ive never really subscribed to the idea that Championship experience is a must. If you limit yourself, especially on a limited budget, you are fishing in a limited pool with most other teams. Our wage budget will be lower than most so players currently on Championship wages will be a struggle to afford. And the ones available (aside from kids on loan or punts from the lower leagues) will likely be ones that have been sitting on a bench not good enough to play for their current side. You look at someone like Thomas Asante who is now likely beyond us, its perhaps a safer bet but you know barring an unlikely sudden improvement that hes not going to be prolific. Or you look at players like Wallace, Bamford, Schlupp etc, once very good at this level but past their peak and on the wane.

If you have some imagination and some competence in terms of finding the right players further afield, and we dont. Then you have the potential to find someone in a less crowded market who of course could fail but equally could be at a lower price with a higher reward.

That being said, this Kargbo seems to have struggled with the step up from Serie C to Serie B and has had a very nomadic career at the age of 25.

Technically yes but we all know that He runs the club let's get open and honest

You mean like BBD and Szmodics did?

Haven't we done that with signings like Kaminski, Ohashi, Gueye over last few years.

We need a mixed approach to our signings given our budget

Kargbo looks like a very quick left winger, certainly can’t be any worse than the current options.
We must be the slowest team in the league.

Need to get Danns from Liverpool too play through the middle.

Kargbo seems to have struggled in Serie B. Another Telalovic?

We famously had one player who didn't struggle in Serie B, in fact he's still described as a legend at his old team.

Here however.....

Tronstad, Toth, Ohashi and Gueye are all from ‘further afield’

I know you were happy to wait until the end of the window for signings Chaddy, something that most, including me, thought was the wrong call due to the number of key games in January (2 of which we’ve just lost). Has your view changed now due to the injuries?

Also, I’m assuming that you are starting to share the concern of the group that we may not get the quality we need through the door. You mentioned BBD and Szmodics as examples of us bringing in championship players, I can’t see them splashing £7m or so on a striker. I wonder if they didn’t realise that players could leave for free at the end of the contract and that £7m would be lost. It wouldn’t surprise me one bit, especially if the rumours of them not knowing about relegation are true.

If you're waiting for Chaddy to admit he was wrong about something, you'll be waiting a long time. I can't think of one time that's happened.

If Kargbo comes in I wonder if he's signed as a CF or LW. Looks like he can play both.

Cissoko frozen out of Plymouths squad, we should be talking to his parent club and asking for him on loan...Quality player.

Because one Plymouth reject isn't enough?
