We don’t know what promises he was made.

Again our misfortunes were played out on tv and all social media accounts for two years

if he did his due diligence which I’d assume he would have he would have known about false and empty promises he would have known how venkys operate/don’t he would have known all this

it’s not top secret just how blackburn rovers/ owners in to google it’s all there

David Dunn wouldn't mind Rovers going for Bristol City striker Sinclair-Armstrong before the deadline ends

He was absolutely shit.

We need someone to come in and start scoring goals, not the second coming of Sam Gallagher.

It’s irrelevant, he was an out of work manager who isn’t going to turn down a job offer. If he’s then been made promises that haven’t been kept then like JDT there will be a tipping point.

Remember there is ‘no impediment to funding’.

This is important. It wouldn't have needed vast amounts of money. I doubt he wanted or expected that.

The Venky defenders out there will play the old 'no money' 'FFP' 'Debt' excuses as they usually do but all we were looking for really was 3 or 4 seasoned players who could have come in and immediately played and improved us. That's all. Not £6 million outlays like Middlesbrough have made this week (though we could if we had wanted to) but just some sensible investment into gaps.

The fact that they haven't even been willing or able to do that, such a relatively minor amount in the scheme of things, is a killer. Eustace would have had more backing at Plymouth Argyle sat bottom of the table than he has had here despite dragging us into an excellent position.

If they wouldn't even back him with ANYTHING at that point, there can really be no recovery from that. A total disgrace and betrayal. They are scum.

That's EXACTLY why I didn't renew this season. They simply don't have a clue

Wallace not on the bench for WBA. He is still there right?

Nevermind he's on the bloody pitch! Rare occasion!

Well he may or may not have started the game and scored.

Until the chicken fools leave and take maggot with them transfer treads are pointless. None of them want anything but failure. I have avoided reading this torture so far this window until today. Stupid mistake that was. We would be so better off dropping down to L1 or L2. Those nasty Indian fools might then finally clear out from where they are not wanted. Plus if I meet that maggot moron….

I think tbf a decent striker usually costs money. That's why we never get one despite us always claiming it's the primary target. We're still awaiting an Adam Armstrong replacement, let alone a BBD one or a SS one.

The other positions could maybe have been filled more cheaply but it seems we couldn't even be arsed doing that.

A Diallo on loan ala Sunderland would have much more impact than a BBD, Armstrong et al.

We need a wide player with pace that can take his man on, score the odd goal and create chances for others (in this instance crosses to Gueye in the box - but Cantwell / Weimann could easily up their goal tally if a threatening player out wide was introduced to the mix).

I'd be asking after Poku to be honest. The season is gone and he won't be fit for a while, but I'd see if I could get him at a discount considering he has less than 6 months left.

I got angry before kick off when the club's social media were making the usual fuss about Isaac Dunn, O'Grady Macken and Litherland being on the bench. Whilst I can appreciate that it must be good for the players themselves and their families this should not be happening and it should certainly not be anything the club is boasting about. It is happening because the club has failed to do its job and ensure we have a sufficient squad for the rigours of the Championship.

To end up in such a state where we are putting three kids on the bench for crucial league fixtures, then turning around and publicising this as though it is a badge of honour to be proud of, shows just how out of touch and amateur this outfit is these days.

To be fair the Social Media Manager (actually I assume we're not big time enough to have that, it's probably a poor sod in the Comms Dept when he's got time away from filming /editing / writing stories on the website) is on a hiding to nothing.

Damned if they do, damned if they don't.

We know how this works, signings made Thursday evening onwards, none involved for Preston and we slump to 11th.

We need 2 attackers in by Tuesday...No chance.

In by Thursday evening if we're lucky. It'll be deadline day on the following Monday and that's if nobody messes things up for once.

If Eustace is asking for two or three GOOD names, he's gonna be off.

Its getting a little late now. We've lost too many games and are now about to fall through championship like never below. Any signings should have been down early January as it will take weeks to get any panic buys up to standard.
