Eustace back to hoping for "2 or 3 good quality players"

The 2 names we are linked with the most strongly don't seem to be that.

Two names we are linked with? Why now and not 2/3 weeks ago! Too late.

Has JE been told this and is being given false hope like many of us? Difference is JE is an employee not a fan.

One of those Rovers twitter accounts reckons that Andy Irving was going to he announced yesterday on loan with an obligation to buy on promotion , but fell apart at the last minute as they demanded more wages for next season.

Left footed central midfielder from West Ham.

More BS I suspect.

I'm calling bullshit.

If it did actually happen and it did fall apart at the last minute it will be because our owners once again reneged on part of the deal at the last second.

Personally I can see the benefit of playing hard ball to get the best possible quality of player in, within our budget.

Unfortunately we have seen the incompetence over the last 15 years, and I have no confidence that we will get even a half decent couple of players in.

But we all hope and pray every transfer window that - even if pure luck - we get some quality in.

I keep going back to the Wharton and Raya money, forgetting we got £9m for Szmodics in a summer when "the owners could fund freely by providing a personal guarantee". Bollocks!

Scumbags. Waggott is a deceitful man.

The whole ground turned on him last year and the chants were right. Eustace saved him from anarchy. Time to resign Steve and Suhail Pasha, you're next!

Friday night could get nasty. They are running out of places to hide.

There's only so long you can keep renewing and be lied to by the CEO.

A lack of ambition, dishonesty, poor communication and no investment isn't a way to sell tickets.

I would say, if you must renew your season tickets, get one in the Riverside. Then when we are on TV the attendance looks even more embarrassing.

Stepping back for a moment, we have taken 5 points out of the last 27 and are 7th. The competition for places 5 and 6 ain't up to much but somebody is going to go on a run and get out of sight.

No way on paper should that line up at Bristol have been competitive but we could/should have got a win.

JE can get performances out of otherwise completely useless players so I am quite relaxed about who we get in.

That said, this is the week the internet gets disconnected at Ewood so I am expecting Eustace to be left stranded and the rest of us fuming in frustration.

To be honest, I thought the Bristol City defence was that poor, even our toothless attack, looked like we could get a hatfull.

Why can’t we sign similar quality to travis and tronstad? They aren’t xavi and iniesta.

Cos they would be back up players cos if Tronstad and Travis are fit, they start for certain.

Baker was good back up but since going back to Stoke, he is starting games there

If they were as good as T and T they wouldn’t be back ups, we’d be able to rotate the squad and avoid some/all of these muscle injuries which are now occurring.

Yes we did Stoke a big favour there getting Baker back and running!
