January Transfer window

I nearly said this myself, but the squad would already be full. I don't know if the rules allow you to swap one of your players, like an injured goalie, out after the window shuts.

Like I said though, we have other youth keepers who don't seem to be any worse.

I presume this would count as an ‘exceptional circumstance’ which the regulations refer to ( re: making a squad list change outside of a transfer window)

I have nothing to back this up as the guidance tells clubs to refer to the EFL portal.

Hopefully someone at the club has the log in the check this 🙄 (were they to be considering this option).

We're playing Calamity Pears in net. We clearly don't value the GK position too much.

Get Hilton de-registered if it allows us to bring in another good outfield player.

I agree ideally he’s out

I’d have sigurdsson out too

I’d sell Dolan also

i just don’t think we get more than 2 in. Really hope I’m wrong as we ideally need 4/5 but minimum 3 but just getting the feelings of being let down once more

Anyone that watched 30 seconds of ACD could tell you he isn't quick.

ACD over long distance isn't quick. However he does move the ball quick, and seems to keep close control...A lot better than our other wingers.
Issue with ACD is that's he's still raw, a few more years in him and he'll become a tidy player.

If we can spread the game like we do, creative players like Cantwell needs runners to switch to...Hedges can't run and scrappydoo on the other side just isnt up to it.

Im happy enough with Kargbo...But we need more.

Scrappy doo 🤣🤣🤣

No better than Markanday for me.

We won't sell Dolan---he'll leave for nothing.

Not as if we need the money!

i hope your right and im`e wrong,i really do,if we could snaffle danns from liverpool on loan, that really would be a result,we`ve got a good relationship with them (elliot, beck.clarkson and bombscare billy koumetio) surely that puts us in a great position

You would think so but it’s a money game and if Stoke say we’ll pay 10% extra rovers certainly won’t get into a bidding war they will drop out straight away

West Brom, Norwich City and Luton Town are interested in a move for FC St. Gallen striker Willem Geubbels, so why aren't Rovers? We could a buy given what we have taken in money wise or even loan to obligation to buy in the summer. This is smart player transfer Rovers should be doing. Time for Gestede to deliver quality for Eustace, the players and the fans. You will be judge on this Rudy and the quality you bring in the finally 8 days of the window

This player looks very good on this video and just what we need up front.

I've had to point this out a few times this window now, but we only lose Dolan for free if he moves to a foreign club.

I'm not a massive fan of ACD personally. I don't think he offers too much going forward and I would be tempted to cancelled his loan and bring in another winger instead

i don`t think he offers much tbh, flatters to deceive going forward, gives the ball away a lot and is easily dispossesed,in no way looks like he`s going to be anything but a lower league player

Saying bring in another winger is evidently easier said than done.

Chaddy your fully aware as to why we aren’t in contention so it shouldn’t come as surprise to you

The start of your sentence answers the question posed at the end.

If WBA, Norwich and Luton are moving for him, we won't negotiate a better overall deal than them. We've shown for years we can't pip other Championship clubs to players, especially ones who have seen Prem money much more recently than us.

Once again a refreshingly different perspective from the LT board:

Couldn’t agree more. If we were safely nested in mid table those posters baying for blood would be quite satisfied after last season. . Unfortunately a decent mini run that got us into a decent league position has raised the level of self entitlement to new heights. None of those could have anticipated the squad being decimated by injuries which will undoubtedly have added to the boards decision making headaches on recruitment. Just for the hard of hearing, we have NO money to spend on an oven ready mythical striker that’s going to push us onto certain promotion.. Not one of them has come up with a name that would allow us to scale those heights, how much they would cost and where the money would come from. Relative to the finances of the club, we had a successful summer window compared to previous seasons, including Cantwell let’s not forget and some are still not happy. When are some people going to finally realise we have very little money to spend and any recruitment is based on wheeling and dealing, searching for hidden gems and trying to convince those hidden gems that a small town club with small attendances and relatively low wages is worth coming to.
