Same old same old rhetoric creeping about in the local press again 'Leonard coming back' as if he's ever even done anything in the first place yet other than looking a bit lively. And for about the 3rd time Markandy's name been chucked about as a positive if he comes back from being on loan.

It's quite simple really instead of keep pinning hopes on a few kids who've proven nothing and a couple of cheap overseas punts just BUY or loan in a bloody striker over 21 with some scoring pedigree in this country, even if it's mostly at lge 1 !!!!

The evidence is overwhelming, Armstrong, Dack, Smodics etc !

Initial fee for all those was less than 2 mill apiece and only one was on big money because he came from a Prem club.

Don't tell me we aren't capable of finding similar and affording it.

A very winnable game but it's hard to get excited about any Rovers games at moment despite being 7th in the league.

We're completely toothless going forward now and have very little creativity. It feels like we're back in old territory of if we concede the first goal then the game is as good as gone.

If we had any shred of ambition then we would have tried to sign Cannon in the summer. He's a top striker at this level and his value will only go up and up. Instead, we were shopping in the bargain basement with Papa and Yuki.

I wouldn't be surprised if Cannon scores tomorrow and it ends up being a loss or draw.

He can score as many as he likes  tomorrow, the game is on Wednesday.

We probably can afford but from Day One our wonderful owners , have not been interested !

This season is beginning to pan out , like many anticipated it would , I honestly believe that relegation is the Venkys  aim..

Someone needs to plant their feet firmly on the ground and get back to basics, like creating chances, defending with resolve and cutting out the frankly silly farting around at the back from goal kicks.

If JE with all the technology and evaluation available to him to explore basic issues on the pitch, can't see the glaring truths that are holding us back AND do something to fix them, then there is little for us keyboard coaches to do other than moan from the sidelines. Not that anyone is listening...

Why you wouldn't just play them together is beyond me.

Can’t be having that, two up front and you are a dinosaur manager who will never get another job… until Pep decides two up front is the future and then you won’t work again until you put two up top.

Now turning to Harry Leonard to save our season. I doubt Eustace will start him and he didn't make it off the bench when we were chasing a goal against Sheff Utd.

I hope he gets a chance though, we can only keep rotating between 2 non scoring strikers for so long.

It doesn't matter who the strikers are or how many are in rotation, we just do not create enough chances and/or those strikers are just not up to it.

4 shots on target in the past 3 games with 2 at home.

Comments like that can have a nasty habit of coming back and biting you. Moran has a record for Stoke of 2 goals and 1 assist from 763 minutes.

truly a frightening stat, how will we cope with the marauding midget😳

on a more sobering note, eustace must tweek his tactics for wednesday night, maybe 3/5/2  or cantwell in a free role behind a centre forward,we can`t keep going into games trying to grind a result out

A goal involvement every 254 minutes for the the marauding midget is better than that of Todd Cantwell who has 2 assists in 530 minutes.

Pears has come in for some stick lately, but if it hadn't been for some fantastic saves from him last Saturday, we would have suffered an embarrassing heavy defeat. I would play Leonard at some stage against stoke, and play Siggurdsen if fit and maybe Buckley in midfield, let's face it Dolan and Hedges wete poor last Saturday.

I would change your last four words, to "are poor".

We didn't have a single shot on target. It doesn't really get much more embarrassing than that
