Anybody booked for trivial reasons like mouthing off, getting involved in pointless scuffles with opponents - I’d fine them 25% of their wages. Taking one for the team is different.

I'm still fuming at the booking JRC picked up last year when he threw the ball back to the opposition player at a freekick, but deliberately higher than they could reach. As I recall the freekick wasn't even past the halfway line and there was no danger whatsoever. I know it's the heat of battle but how bloody dense can you be?

I’m not sure Cardiff away is ‘eminently winnable’ given their current home form and our current away form. Or given our lack of quality up front.

The only eminently winnable away game in the championship, is at Ewood Park.

To play that system the one thing required is just one of the thing we lack..........pace. The width both offensively and in defence comes from the wingbacks means they need to get up and down the wings quickly. The back three has just lost a race against a snail.

If I was going to play 3 at the back, it would be 3-5-2 or even 3-6-1 with Pickering rather than MacFazdean in the left defender position, and Cantwell the freedom of the park.

I know Im going to villifed for this but I'd also use Hedges at RWB as I feel his best games for Rovers in this position

Not necessarily, a lot of European mangers have gone with a double CAM version of 3-4-3 in recent years - almost a 3-4-2-1 which I think could potentially work for us

Not literally of course (my emotional involvement with football ends usually when I leave the ground), but it was bloody daft and an example I think of the wider malaise and indiscipline at the club.
