Siggy injured again according to Eustace.

We are never going to see him again are we - real shame his heart wasn’t in it/it hasn’t worked as he is a good player, looked superb at the start of last season.

If Siggy is deadwood, we need to get rid, we are not in a position to carry anyone. Every player needs to be giving 100%, even if that 100% is not up to what we are used to skill-wise.

Rumours that he's downed tools, which makes sense with this "on going" injury. He will be sold in January and money made will be our transfer budget...A guess 800k + add ons??

I doubt we will get anything close to that - only got 6 months on his contract.

They will likely get rid just to get his (apparently high) wages off the books.

Seems the type to sit out his contract although his international career is important so downing tools and sitting out might not help that.

Personally i'd be offing him to the first club who'd take him on outside of England.

Obviously a poor signing.

Played 18 times scoring 5 goals last season sounds good but we all know his true input. A player on his pay should be an asset to the team, he clearly isn't and we'll struggle getting rid of him.

Glad to be back at it Saturday, these 2 week breaks really take the wind out of you, each restart can mean different things for teams, can we go on a winning streak and further shock our relagation favourites prediction?

This team is so hard to predict, I really have no idea how it will go in the run up to Christmas and new year.

Yeah these international breaks kill the game imo. A lot disagree and see them more important than league games. Football is a funny old game.

We've started better than we'd hope for but we won't by doing an "Ipswitch one season stay in the premiership". that said its that hope that we can get close to the playoff on a small budget with a top manager.

    Rovers 3 Pompey 0

      Travis, JRC, Weimann

We've not been in the playoffs ONCE since being relegated in 2012.

Crazy when you think about it.

Many say rovers fans are deluded and living in the past and nobody has a devine right to be in the premiership, however I'm sure many can agree, we belong in the premiership, anyone who has won that trophy belongs in the Premier league.

Eventually we are going to make it back, it's going to happen.

Surely nobody seriously does... apart from Harry Kane (and roverandout).

We will only make it back when we try.

January 2022, January 2023 and January 2024 we had strong opportunities to get into the top 6 and they did whatever they could to ensure we weren't equipped to sustain it.

Send him on loan to Accy Stanley, or Rochdale, or Halifax, or Mill Hill St Peters.... That's the direction his 'career' will be taking if he adopts a stupid mentality and 'downs tools' as rumoured. We are a club that is already scraping the barrel for players, so we simply can't afford to be carrying a prima donna ne'er do well dead weight / make-weight. Mr Siggurdsson, put up or ship out.

Moving on, the game tomorrow is a banana skin, and will need Rovers to somehow rekindle the spirit and form that brought success in South Wales, in front of a slightly warmer than recent days crowd and a mini-wobble on home soil.

Am expecting a spirited and energetic performance from the lads, and surely things will have to come good for Yuki at some point again? I just hope he keeps on getting into dangerous areas, and gets a lucky break that brings his confidence back up. Rest of the team needs to crack on and do the things they are good at, especially Cantwell, who continues to impress his quality without showing goal instinct, yet.

Head Rovers 1 Pompey 1

Heart Rovers 3 Broken Bell 0

Heave Ho me Hearties Rovers 3 (inc 2 by Yuki) Chimers 3 in an end to end goal fest, Aaarrrrrrr.

COYB!
