Siggy injured again according to Eustace.

We are never going to see him again are we - real shame his heart wasn’t in it/it hasn’t worked as he is a good player, looked superb at the start of last season.

I think he mainly joined because of JDT. Seemed like a real coup at the time we signed him.

Think he would always struggle for games under JE, just doesn't seem like a right fit for the way we play.

I suspect he's been looking for the exit since JDT left and JE won't want any negative attitudes around the other players.

Shame, I think he's a good footballer, albeit injury prone. He'd have to play as a No.10 though and that role should be Cantwell's for the foreseeable.

Waste of space - need to get him off the wage bill if we can ASAP.

This screams a home banker and a great opportunity to top up your Christmas kitty with a Rovers' win at 3/4.

Perspective - Pompey 23rd in table, most goals conceded in Championship.

Rovers to win by at least 2 clear goals.

When we play Pompey at Ewood, two games from the memory bank come flooding back.

FA Cup 3rd round win at Ewood back in 1969 with a Malcolm Darling hat trick which landed us a home tie against Mercer / Alison's Man City.   Delirium on the BE that day.

Then there was the 'infamous' Jimmy Hill match some 15 years later which we lost 1-0 against Alan Ball's Pompey - how Jim Brannigan didn't get arrested for gbh, let alone finish the match is beyond me and the running battle between 'Killer' Keeley and the Pompey c/f (can't recall his name) with both dismissed for an early bath.  When men were men - Travis is a teddy bear!

‘Blackburn’ *again*… in the LT of all places. Ian, put a word in, the fact it’s sub-edited from Newport or wherever it is is no excuse.

(Another good read, by the way. Can you and Rich do a job share for all Rovers coverage?)

Thank you.

Rich is a regular on the What Now? Show on our 4000 Holes podcast & of course shares his occasional columns in here so we are trying to entice him in…😉

Pompey fan in peace..

Evening lads. Looking forward to tomorrow's game. Long journey for us, think we've sold 1,900 tickets, so should be a good atmosphere.

Our performances have improved of late, and with our main striker set to start his first game this season after heart surgery, I'd be happy with a draw.

You're welcome to join our pompey forum if you fancy debating and talking about the match with rival fans.

We're a friendly bunch and you'd be welcome.

Good luck for the season.

hope the game is`nt postponed, terrible weather forecast for the north tommorow and if it is i hope they tell you portsmouth fans in good time and don`t let you get all the way here, such is the jobsworthness and imcompetence when it comes to referees these days

They will probably have a 14.00 inspection, and call it off at 14.45, remember Millwall at home a couple of seasons ago.

I predict a turgid 0-0 with the ball hardly being able to roll by the 70th minute.

If the ball is hardly able to roll, with tactics as they are in the modern game, it will be abandoned.

with no snow anywhere near the pitch.think it was a tiny bit of frozen pitch in the centre circle😀

I think the problem that day was standing water caused by quickly thawing snow.

I think we’ll be okay tomorrow, providing it’s just rain.

I think there is some pressure building on the people upstairs at Rovers.

So far today we've had interviews with Eustace, JRC and Buckley all talking about how much the fans are needed and encouraging people to turn up tomorrow, they've given 500 tickets away to kids

They've announced half season tickets at being on sale (£249 per adult),

I think people are asking questions about the drop in numbers turning up.

The forecast is pretty atrocious. Fair play to anyone travelling from Portsmouth tomorrow. Real fans.

I think most Rovers fans will be aware of Colby Bishop, given he made his name in 3 successful seasons just down the road at Stanley.
