So you think a max of 14.5k Rovers fans will attend?

Wake up......

I'd suggest you need to wake up and when you do come and tell us the last time there were more than 14/15k home fans v Burnley.

I'll wait !

In their pursuit of a quick easy buck they'll stop at nothing including humiliating the club and fans and plastering claret and blue over our website.

They've even put a bigger Burnley badge than Rovers. Probably not intentional and just rank incompetence but you never know with this lot.

What next? Pay an extra £10 and we will put down the red carpet as well?

Well there were nigh on 16k last time, attendance of 18.1k and we gave them just north of 2k...

I think there'll be a decent crowd this time if the good form continues. We regained a bit of dignity last time, whereas in the last Ewood fixture there were still scars from the away capitulation, our form was falling off a cliff and we had the prospect of them winning the league midweek...

So I got an email from the club to say that I’m now allowed to buy tickets which is fantastic news. Thanks to all the kind and helpful people on this thread.

Now I have more questions lol. I’m travelling in to Manchester probably on the Friday night. Would I be best advised to stay in Blackburn or somewhere nearby to avoid any trouble/transport issues on the way in on Saturday? If so, where’s a good spot to stay with decent nightlife for a few pints with my friends?

Apologies if this is off-topic now.

I'm sure everyone else would agree that there's next to no nightlife in Blackburn, but Darwen & Clitheroe nearby have plenty of bars. Darwen is much nearer to Ewood though, of course!

£228 for a meal at your main rivals? Who in their right mind would pay that especially some scruff from the land that time forgot.

The Ribble Valley Prem hangers on brigade.

As mentioned, nightlife is ‘limited’ locally.

If you want a decent night out and rarely or never go to Manchester then I’d stop there Friday night. Even if the trains happen to go on strike you’ll get an Uber for about £45.

If you are concerned about it and just want a few pints in different places that are OK but nowhere special then stay at the M65 J4 Premier Inn or one of the Darwen hotels and go into Darwen.

Under no circumstances try and go into Blackburn centre. It’s rancid.

Last time we played them, over 16k for a midweek game that could and did witness Burnley win the Championship.

The game in question, Jan 4th, Saturday, 4k Dingles, both teams going well.

Of course they'll be more than 14k home fans.

Look at the seat map on the Web, Blackburn End lower is almost sold out a few hundred left.

Wake up indeed sir.

There was less than 16k in the home sections and taking into account the amount of complimentary's (ten lads in front of us in the JW upper for starters) and dingle interlopers keeping themselves quiet i stand by my wide awake point.

These games in this era tend to draw c15k home fans and this will be no different i wouldn't have thought but we live in hope.

Now we've gone from 14k to under 16k

Hold your hands up, you got it wrong lad and move on.

Crowd was 18.1k

Burnley had 2k

Do the Maths.

And you still think we'll get less than 14.5k for the game on Jan 4th?

I estimate at least 18k home fans plus the 4k inbreds

At least 18,000 home fans? So 9,000 walk ons at least? So potentially what 10,11k home walk ons? No chance for a Sky game at £35-£40 just after Christmas and new year.

There will be a 16kish home fans there no chance for 18, 19, 20k.

We're going to have to be in some serious form heading into this game to get over 20k.

Like tomphil says above it makes the Derby look like a joke.

Look at the seat map on the clubs website.

Blackburn End lower only has a few hundred seats left, another month to go.

Will they open the Top tier?

Will easily be over 20k

I'll hold you to this after the match.

Some folk will find any excuse not to attend.

We had just over 16k on the last time, much worse situation.

Midweek game, live on Sky, we all knew they'd win the Championship if they won etc.

Hope you do hold me to it, as Ewood would then be full in home areas (outside the Blackburn End Upper), so a full Riverside too, we’ve not seen that since Oxford, so for me it won’t happen at £35, but if that’s the case nobody would be more delighted than me.

Griping about how many will attend this fixture ffs!

We ain't Leeds United fans fellas.

It is what it is for gods sake.

It's not really about 'griping' pal, more a case of the arrogant being unable to accept a different opinion.

End of the day we want the best for Rovers
