Sorry, this is the Championship and it just doesn't work that way.

Yes, we are favourites, but we know from history that does not guarantee victory.

I'm relatively confident, but I'd have been more confident had the previous manager still been in charge.

We will win pal. We’re a totally different side this year. Our defence is as tight as cramp. Score first half then trademark defending second half. Our defence is so tight now it would make a Scotsman look like charity 😀

In theory we should be in the better part of the country to avoid the worst of the storm. Still don't fancy heading over the M62 if its very windy.

On the M62, it is not so much a problem for cars, but for high-sided vehicles, who then block the road.

We’re not favourites. Latest odds have Hull slightly more favoured.

Good! I think we perform better when we are the underdogs 😉

The weather is likely to be a factor tomorrow, with wind gusts of up to 70mph forecast for the East coast around kick off time tomorrow. Not going to be one for the purists.. if it goes ahead at all 😉

COY windy Blues!

Hull today appointed Reading boss Ruben Selles as manager though he won’t officially take over until Hull’s home game against Watford on Wednesday. Reading fans not happy as he seems to have turned the club’s fortunes around.

Reminds me of the other season when we played them and the new owner had just taken over, there was a bit of a buzz around and we rolled over for them, think it was the rearranged game after the boxing day shambles.

Worried we're gonna see how important Travis has been too.

Not particularly confident, but I'm happy to be proven wrong .

Believe me, I hope you’re right, but it’s the worst time to be playing them, (new manager), and the conditions will probably make the game a lottery anyway.

Going to be interesting game with their new head coach being appointed but not in charge for this game

If he gets the win do you think the Hull fans will claim it as his victory?

Great article Ian makes a refreshing change from the banal shite churned out by Jackson. Must be the sign of a good education. Lol.

The main difference between Kendall's side and Eustace's imo is that in 1979-80 when we were promoted we had a 20 goal striker in Andy Crawford who could nick a goal when it really mattered.

In 1980-81 we didn't and weren't.  I've no doubt the same fate will befall us this season as we don't even appear to have a ten goal striker in the squad currently unless Venky's suddenly find their cheque book or we pull an Adam Armstrong like rabbit out of the hat in January.

Let's hope we don't find out and the Rovers are in the top six come five o'clock.
