At least 18,000 home fans? So 9,000 walk ons at least? So potentially what 10,11k home walk ons? No chance for a Sky game at £35-£40 just after Christmas and new year.

There will be a 16kish home fans there no chance for 18, 19, 20k.

Remember this pal?

And if a decanted can of Fosters doesn’t do the trick I’m not sure what will…

🤣 I know, but why do they get delicious pies & hot dogs whilst us regulars in the lower tier get the usual god awful stuff?! 🤔😄

🙄 Here we go thread trawlers. I do yeah, damo.

It’s taken me by surprise, though I didn’t quite expect to win six games in the bounce when I posted that, if our form had carried on being middling my prediction would have been correct as it would’ve been a standard turnout for a Dingle game and you’d be wrong. But we have won six on the bounce, so I’m wrong, ah well.

Thought it was tomphil you’d fallen out with?

Why only 1,500 and not the whole tier? What difference does it make?

They don't half make some odd decisions down there.

Waggot will be saving cash on kiosks and stewards etc.

He won't commit to a full sale until they've shifted.

That did make me laugh - christ if we're only dishing out cans up there surely we can do better than Fosters & Strongbow (answer is that they'll have the biggest mark-up)

Imagine it's just so if we sell 1k they're not sprawled across the whole stand. If we sell 1.5k they will open the rest of it. I've no issues with that.

Presumably it’s Fosters and Strongbow as they are Heineken brands and that’s who the club (Sodexho?) seem to have the contract with for beers. But yeah cans of those two, Christ.

I can feel some optimism in the air and if following Rovers recently has taught me anything, it's to have serious alarm bells about what's coming next...

I'm more than ready for an almighty crash. I'm also enjoying the moment too.

And they will flock to Ewood in their droves,

For a poured out can of piss warm Amber nectar

And that day on upper Blackburn end was a wash with sober fans jeering at a home win.

And win they did haha 😄

Great news and fair fucks to Eustace and the team as this wouldn't be happening without recent performances.

Upper tier is around 3k from memory so about 1.5k on sale now, could see us selling them - would be great to get as many of them sold as possible and fill the rest of the upper with flags / banners - will feel properly like a full Ewood, which is long overdue.

Also shows again what is possible if we ever rid ourselves of Venkys and co. and had good value STs (cough Bolton cough)

Do we have flags and banners? I feel we need to start this. Who decides it? How do we arrange it?

Apologies Matty, I'm just caught up in this new found positively we currently find ourselves in.

So pleased they've seen sense and opened the BB END upper, which has already sold a few hundred.

More positives are this will be the largest home crowd since the  Oxford game.

That game was discounted heavily, and as you rightly pointed out the prices, time, tv etc could have effects.

Just gives me great pleasure knowing fans are out there.

If only we had decent owners who managed the club properly.

Yeah makes perfect sense, also hurries people along to snap them up thinking there's only that many left.

Still a way to go to get over 25k purely because there’s already c3,800 empty seats in the Darwen End to start with.

So we’ll be need to be pretty much filling the upper tier, possible I suppose, but a couple more wins pre will help that.

Aye a win Saturday and a positive Sunderland outcome will sell the lot I reckon

‘Why can’t Rovers fans turn up every week in the kind of numbers that they did for the Burnley game? We didn’t even need to reduce prices’

Waggott and Gestede sometime in the future

I feel that this Burnley game is an opportunity now to get more in. Better concourse advertising on the tvs posters etc everyone looks at a TV on the concourse get them prices down, get the fans down.

I'm hoping the dingle derby will attract more to Ewood for future games

Waggott pretty much came up with my predicted quote not long after the Oxford game in L1. He’s never quite grasped how fan bases work.
