You can foresee it without writing about it. I personally thought that performance at the Turd gave us an appetite for the return. A good chance of winning after all these years.

But you keep on defending the club's actions whatever they do, you're well known for it.

That didn’t take much.

So you expected us to sell the ground out because we drew with them earlier in the season, despite not coming close to shifting this many tickets for over 7 years?  Maybe write it down next time.

I don’t know what they’re playing at with the upper tier of the BBE and it’s a shame that a game with so much demand will still see 3-4k seats empty in the Darwen End, which is not a good look. Saying that, I dont think anyone expected the game to sell this well.

See 2nd post on this subject above from me. You'd have to be deaf, blind and dumb not to expect this game to be so keenly anticipated.

Don't agree. We had our best result for years against Burnley and were robbed of victory by a terrible off-side decision and we can ten men for a long period.

Additionally we've just won 6 in a row!

Plus its the New Year period when fans come back home from all over the place and want to recreate their childhood memories.

The appetite for this game is immense and I think it was absolutely forecastable (if that word exists!).

Anyway the Club should be creating a positive message about this game form the off not reluctantly opening up yet another area as the demand becomes apparent even to them.

Biggest turnout for walk ons for a full price league game in c40 *years*? You expected that for a game at £33 to £40, on Sky when we were plodding around second division mid table when they went on sale? Most folk have gone back home from all over the place by 4th Jan, it’s not Boxing Day when that is the case, we drew a game there four months ago, is that some big event? The six game streak wasn’t on the horizon when they went on sale, Nobody could have foreseen this, so let’s not pretend otherwise.

*However, that doesn’t mean the 1,000 seats the club are deciding not to sell shouldn’t be put on sale right now, they have foreseen the demand this past couple of weeks so no excuses.

We won't agree, you've ignored the evidence I gave. Leave it there.

I bet if the club came out with a figure right now it wouldn’t be 24k. It’s all guesswork as we don’t know what the  ‘true’ capacity is anymore, especially when it comes to how many corporate seats will be full in JWU central as they are always greyed out.

I have addressed your provided ‘evidence’, I just disagree with it.

The club could not have possibly envisaged weeks and weeks ago when this went on sale that we’d sell more full price walk ons for this than any league match in 40 years. Just ridiculous to say otherwise (and I say this as a staunch critic of the club’s commercial operation).

The ticket sales show that despite all the nonsense of the last fourteen years the support is still there if the interest is resurrected. Hopefully someone somewhere with deep pockets has noted this rather like Jack did with the turn out for the full members cup final.
