The wings are on sale now, in the Blackburn End upper. We’re heading for our biggest league crowd in an awful long time- too long for that matter! I wonder if the upper tier tickets would sell if they available throughout the season.

Well I'm glad someone somewhere has seen sense and released the rest of the upper tier. Of course this contradicts the clubs claim earlier in the week that no more would be released, so I wonder whether someone higher up the chain has had a word and told them to get whatever it was sorted out and quickly.

This should free up an additional 500 tickets. Hopefully they go and then they can unlock the end blocks of the Riverside and JW lower and actually have a real home sell out.

Do you think that there will be many Burnley fans in the home sections? It needs to be policed properly with zero tolerance.

There will be hundreds in the corporate lounges in the Jack Walker. So they’ll all be sat JW upper central.

Last time we played Burnley at Ewood the Rovers fans in the JW upper were a lot more ‘angry’ than those we usually get up there. So I wouldn’t like to be a Burnley fan jumping around even up there.

There will be a few in corporate in the centr, but like every rumour of infiltration it will be over estimated. If you listen to Sunderland fans, they were supposedly all over the home ends.

A missed opportunity not giving them the full end. A 30,000 gate live on TV. One of the oldest derbies from the heartland of the game in all its glory.

No chance...they dont go out of their way to accomdate Rovers fans so fcuk 'em.Maximise HOME attendance.

As for possible Burnley fans in our end?...yeah,God help them!

Of course, that’s why we need them to feck up this season and next and lose their parachutes.

But for as long as they are yo-yoing they’ll sell most home seats (largely to ST holders) due to FOMO of the PL and a scarcity factor as they only have 19k home seats to play with.

I'd be interested to know the logistics of opening a block or two for home fans in the Darwen End.

If the cricket field shed can be shared between home and away fans then the Darwen End certainly can.

Of course first we need to sell the 300ish in the upper tier and the 500ish in the Riverside and JW stand that the club hasn't yet mentioned.

Magically the 'maintenance' issues of a couple of days ago have been resolved now that we've promptly filled the other blocks and there's still money to be made, so you would hope once the rest of the upper tier goes they'll apply their minds to removing the pointless netting and actually putting people in those remaining seats.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing given the demand, but it would have been good to see a sold out split Darwen End (3.5k each and 1k segregation in the middle) - it’s essentially the same home fans as the upper tier BBE.
Then start opening the Upper BBE once that sold (which would be about now as we approach sell out)

Or even just split the lower tier Darwen End and then open up the Blackburn End Upper. Always prefer Ewood with home fans in all 4 stands ahead of the upper tiers.

I hope any Dingles haven’t got hold of tkts in the recently released home sections. I know you have to have an account registered before November this year to buy them, but some numpties could be buying them for Burnley supporting family and friends, or just to coin in.

Why is it that pretty much every other derby is stewarded by a line or two of stewards, often in the same stand (including over at their hovel) where this one at Ewood needs thousands of netted off seats across three stands?
