I went on the planner the morning they went on sale and every seat was grey. Seems highly unlikely that the whole block was sold in the first hour.

I think he was talking when tickets for the game were first advertised for sale, I remember the same..

So am I. All 500 or so seats in the that end Riverside block weren’t sold on the first morning. Perhaps the back few rows were sold with the rest netted off, but not the whole block.

Though obviously hope I’m wrong as that would leave only 300 or so in the JWL end block unsold.

So when those upper tier seats sell out in the next day or so, they then need to get that additional seating on sale however many it is.

At present there are about 240 remaining tickets, almost all in the BBE upper.

There are some additional seats in the JW lower and Riverside that have not been released for sale and you would hope someone at the club would be getting them released.

This is the corner block of the JW lower tier, currently covered with revolting 'Venkys' sheets. There are about 160 or so seats there, needlessly covered up.

In the Riverside stand end block I think the club have sold the back half, but the front 12 or so rows were never put on sale and if past dingle games are anything to go by will be covered up. The mind boggles as to the reasons behind this as if anyone in the Riverside wanted to confront dingles or attempt to launch missiles towards them they could do so from the walkway at the front, plus there is a 10 foot high metal fence between the two stands making it nigh on impossible for any direct clash of fans anyway

So probably another 160 or so there.

That's another 300-350 that could be freed up immediately.

Very good - so about 22,250 home tickets sold. 250 more still on sale and another 500 or so for pointless segregation.

4k dingles + 1k pointless segregation in the DE bottom tier and an empty DE upper tier, which it seems will not go on sale to either set of fans.

So expecting 26.5k total attendance - 4.5k never going on sale for whatever reasons the club blag.

I think the pointless segregation probably comes to more like 350 than 500. There's definitely 160 or so in the JW lower and then in the Riverside I'm not sure how many rows were taken out but I don't think it is the full end block, perhaps just 12-14 rows of 14 seats so perhaps the same again or slightly more.

I also think the very front row of the BBE upper has been greyed out from the start, not sure why but they don't seem to ever sell those front rows.

In past fixtures they have also netted off some seats at the front of the JW upper near the Darwen End but didn't notice that this time around.

So yeah suspect we are currently expecting around 26,400 total, which could easily get up to 26,900-27,000 if the club actually sold all the home seats.

Imagine, for a brief moment, how this could play out under a club management team who knew what they were doing.

Not just the Dingles game, but the opportunity to take advantage of this little burst of interest from new/lapsed fans.

Shame.

Under management that even slightly resembled competency there wouldn't be this many lapsed fans.

What on earth was that Yasir going on about with that ‘maintenance’ stuff?

Such a weird lie that lasted around a day (it was plainly obvious that it was a lie as they’d already sold a few tickets in one of the end blocks).

Lying does come very easily to the hierarchy down there.

I think he's learned from his boss slippery Steve and has been taught to just come out with any old excuse you can think of when questioned.

The majority of the fanbase won't pay any attention or will just accept it as gospel truth and only a small minority like us on here will quickly spot that it is nonsense.

Just got our tickets 😅

Five of us on our way down from Inverness; Me, the wife, two of our three boys (15 & 18) and a friend whose never seen an English match live before.

Very excited!

BBEnd - N06 - perhaps not the best being up in the corner, but you never know it might be brilliant up there.

It'll be a great atmosphere up there, it'll make a noticeable difference having fans in the upper tier with dingle hatred filled vocals bouncing off the roof

I wouldn't be surprised if it is/was something as daft as a leak in the roof, Swag will have stretched the maintenance budget to patch it up in the hope of shifting more cans of fosters👍

If they hadn’t have already been selling tickets in one of the blocks that might have been feasible, but they only took them off sale in that block because they wanted to concentrate on selling the central areas first, which is fair enough.

To then say they now can’t sell them as there’s maintenance planned, but hours later you can buy them.

All’s well they ends well, but all very strange like so much in VenkyLand.

Probably pigeon shit on the seats needed wiping off and they thought they could get away without needing to do it

Down to the last 50 now so we will soon see if they are serious about filling the home ends.

I was sat in the JW upper on boxing day and i'm pretty certain they had netting over the end blocks

Pretty foggy memory as i'd had more than my fair share of sherbets!

Some drive that @RoverInverness

I've flown a few times into Inverness and driven to Aberdeen for Chris Suttons 'debut'. Sadly Chris was arrested on his Norwich leaving do and never made the game in Aberdeen......But we saw King Kenny and Tony Parks pulling on the shirt and getting a run out.

Safe journey and I hope the lads reward you for your dedication!

At any normal football club I wouldn’t be wondering whether there’s a world where they didn’t put the seats on sale because they couldn’t be arsed taking the netting off. But here…

Great ‘Walkersteel’ reference there. Still hanging on in the folk memory unlike the Fraser Eagle stand.

I can't call it anything else, doesn't feel right.

Walkersteel from as far back as I can remember and anything referencing the big man will do for me.

Anything other than Walkersteel feels wrong to me, whatever they go on to rename it as.
