I thought Parker had them well drilled, they looked well coached , playing within themselves. There was a 10 minute period in the first half when they kept the ball and we didn’t have a touch. The looked a class above us to be honest

Most of that was down either wing then back to past the half way line

If we are in the same division next year, JE needs to plaster pictures of that classless, over the top celebration and all the other pictures; rubber chickens and horses heads, all over the dressing room and tell them to get revenge at all costs. Tell them that we can’t have that embarrassment and hurt again!

It goes with Parker's behaviour at the end. Stay classy..

Watching Barnes celebrating and the player parading the Rovers corner flag with a Burnley shirt on….  That’s what hurt the most.

I wonder if the owners watching in India were feeling that hurt too?

Big "if" Jim.

Evidently WELL within themselves considering they had what, 2 shots on target?

I see their Social Media troll fans are all over giving it the big one.

We’d be the exact same in fairness, I deleted twitter after the game anyway

Well, I thought it was all a bit tacky and tasteless really.

With all their comparative riches, only craping through against an injury ravaged team...then celebrating like they had just won the Champions League...

As Mr Dylan might have put it.."Sometimes I wonder what it's gonna take to find dignity.." ( spot my coping mechanism)

Did you see their clown of a GK repeatedly taunting the Blackburn End?

I genuinely hope his career continues to flounder, he really is a bellend.

Yep, must admit I had a bit of a wobble yesterday. Deleted all social media apps and even unfollowed and unfriended a few Dingles. Oh well 😅.

I mean, they should be a class above given their squad value. They have played like that all season. Did anyone truly expect Rovers to go and outplay them?

My point on Parker is that he isn't cut out for the prem, as we've already seen....twice. He's a fine manager at Champ level at a club with money to spend on a better standard of players as he had with Fulham and Bournemouth, but as with both those sides I suspect he'll be found wanting...much like our friend Russell Martin.

Also don't forget the awful spell he had in Belgium. Some coaches just aren't good enough for the top level...like how Neil Warnock was never cut out for the prem but seen as the ultimate 2nd tier coach.

I’ve just seen one of the dingle players throwing the corner flag around at the end of the game, covering the Rovers badge with his shit shirt. This without doubt triggered the Rovers fans in the Riverside and they should be fined for doing that. If the club was run on any sort of local level I’d be cutting next seasons allocation in half to, put them back in the box until they learn to behave.

I hope the Rovers players saw this, our time will come AGAIN you dingle arseholes.

Can’t get too wound up about their celebrations. It shows that they take wins against us as an achievement. It’s good to have some serious rivalry and we would do the same had we won.

As for the match, it was always going to be a struggle against a good team and missing several key players. The defeats at Millwall and to Hull are more damaging and we need to get back on the winning trail very soon. Hopefully with a stronger squad.

I didn’t see that, what did he do? We were in the Riverside Darwen end suffering the humiliation of the corner flag incident.

Quote from JE on rovers website:

We’re a work in progress, we’re fighting, we’re scrapping and the 22,000 Rovers fans who came to support us today can see that we’re trying to do the right things.

Wonder who gave him that number - the Loons in Pune will be impressed with Waggots work at bringing back the fans

I remember the period you mean. I was thinking that and Ohashi been playing they wouldn’t have been able to do it, but there is little pressing by Gueye from the front. For that spell Burnley looked pretty on the ball without doing much with it.

But other than that they were far from a class above anything. They had 9 touches in our box all game. What they are is a very good defensive unit with two excellent Championship centre halves who have played almost every game. But as an offensive unit they are pretty poor.
