I'm guessing Weimann and Siggurdson will be back for those, Carter won't be, so who are the other 6 Eustace was on about?

Presumably the squad will rotate for breaks but I'm thinking Weimann will rotate in, Brittain will slot back in and rotate with JRC but mainly keep our last 3-4 outings rather similar

And this is where we usually fall away, as the players don’t get the rest and help they need due to the powers that be having no interest in achieving something

Though with it being on the record that there is no impediment to the owners spending money and as we are a mile away from FFP concerns, this January will be different, won’t it…

Looks to be a full January with 8 fixtures including 1 FA cup tie at Boro.

How do you think Eustace needs to pace the players and still have an impact in the games ahead?

Could do with 2 early signings in the window. We need to rotate Travis and Tronstad at some point during Christmas/January period with Baker and Buckley.

Fully agree don't want these guys burning out before end of season points push with the way things have gone lately everyone will want to play every game

Don’t do it to yourself!

Exactly. Would like to see a wide player and centre back in early. Batth and Hyam are playing well and solid but we can't too much. One injury and we have to change formation to accommodate McFadzean

We did last winter in Ayari and Chrisene

I suppose it will be young cheap loans as squad fillers so you never know but usually they fall at the end of Jan.

Likely limited to 2 signings as we already have 3 loans and you can only have 5 in a squad.

All we can do is wait. We know Eustace and team are capable of good decisions its just on the "finance gang" now

The recruitment team has already been broken up and seems to be again all over the shop.

The owners again wont allow a reasonable budget so a mixture of Gestede in charge who signed Gueye and reliance on loans doesnt inspire confidence but we will see.

Ayari should have played more.

Both good squad players.

A good striker signing is going to hard enough. Plus wide player and centre back. I.dont think we need more than that tbh

One guy has left and will be replaced. Our recruitment isn't based on one guy but a group of scouts plus Gestede and Owen.

We will recruit a Cheif Scout shortly

Im sure its the sign of a well functioning club.

Do you have faith in the owners sending funds and the staff effectively using them on 3 quality signings in a prompt fashion?

The recruitment department over the last 2 and half years has been massive turnover of staff, hoping with this Chief scout appointment will see some stability in that role for a couple of seasons.

I'm expecting a couple of loans and low cost signing. Nothing more. Not expensive signings or multi million pounds signings.

FA Cup 4th Round is 8th February if we survive sudden death at the Riverside. In which case the QPR away game would be postponed (as it would be if QPR survive their visit to Leicester)

Other February games are West Brom away on Wednesday 12th, Plymouth home on Saturday 15th and Swansea away on the 22nd - a holiday month in comparison!

The turn of the year are where teams fall away - you play so many games in such a short period of time that if you don't have a strong squad you simply can't keep up.

I'm glad Eustace has wracked up so many points so far because I fear for us over the next 6 weeks or so.

With regards to transfers - you know it'll be two cheap loans. It's a shame nobody from the Academy is knocking down the door this season.

If they were they'd be bungled out the door as quickly as possible for the first offer that comes along with absolutely zero of that money reinvested in the squad.
